If you have a Visa Signature or Visa Infinite card, you get 25% off Hilton's usual rates. I re-booked my ressie after I found I could get a room for $120 at Torrey Pines, nearly unheard-of for a Category 6 Hilton in that area. They also had double room availability for $138.

Just wanted to let you know in case anybody wanted to save cash for booze or Stewart Copeland t-shirts. The Visa card you need to book is no big deal - I used my Southwest Airlines Signature card and it went through fine.

Hey all, looks like the SuperCat has to sit this one out. I have massive work to do and the semester starts here up again in four weeks so I had better stay put. Will be out and about all over in October, it seems, and know I will see many of y'all not so far off. Will be in Philly most likely for Flaming Lips at the end of August right before Virgin, which looks to be my next outing. I lose so much time getting ready, traveling, and recuperating, and La Jolla just doesn't seem sensible at this crucial time <cracks whip>

SC's way generous to we fans, but I doubt he'd let us film the performance using our own gear. Which is perfectly understandable, in the sense that he's a filmmaker and wouldn't want us putting out stuff he hadn't had a chance to run through Protools.

Maybe there'll be someone with a pro video camera there, though. That'd be my guess - La Jolla Fest itself will film the thing, and if we're lucky they'll DVD-ify it.
