If I never hear EBYT again, that would be fine with me. But, I'd still rather hear it than a lot of what gets played on commercial radio, so if I have to hear the radio and EBYT displaces some other song, that's OK !

Sorry, Horace, must disagree.
I am not an EBYT fan (apart from the stunning-black-and-white video). And it IS about stalking, depression and obsession.
Not the most inventive combination of chords.

My Dad goes and starts dancing like its a hip hop song and My Father in law joins my mother-law and MY hubby and the 3 of them dance around in a circle

the lyrics speak for themselves. sting has gone on the record as saying he is always amused that people get married to this song which in his own words is "about obsession and surveillance". frankly i'm surprised that anyone could interpret the lyrics as being 'sweet':

Haha I understand you...In my case, it´s something about the language. I read the lyrics, hear the lyrics, and I can think in something sweet too, but I know that is because I am making a translation to spanish in my head, and souds different sometimes!
