What would you ask to Stewart Copeland?

What would you ask to Stewart Copeland?

I´d ask him: Are you happy?

We had this thread before, I think (historians, if you could unearth, plz). My recollection is of many very interesting and funny questions. Many were about his phone number/email

Failing having that one resurrected, my question would be...

WHEN are you and Claypool gonna CUT THE CRAP and RESURRECT OYSTERHEAD???!!

;) Actually, I'm about serious. But you all surely know that by now.

Secondly, I guess it'd be something about Ben Hur. But I'll see for myself on opening night in London! Squeee, for realz.

Hombre, this we cannot know. He certainly has many, many reasons to be happy and consider himself blessed, but no one really knows.

I personally think that happiness is an extremely fleeting sensation, and if everyone attained it, there would be no strife to reach for your entire potential. Sometimes the greatest art is conceived in an unhappy state.

Well some of the questions from the old list have probably been answered. So, we could start a new one.

I do remember some of pre-Savannah Q's as having been pretty silly, though

Most of my questions would involve the words "flag" and "happen to have spare time in NYC?", so mine would be of limited interest. (Why pretend to be sane?)

More broadly, though, I would LOVE to hear about the writing process behind Strange Things Happen.

Heh heh. Write me a song, Stewart. (Smite, please, not.)

(Forgive me, folks: I know this is like watching someone pass around wallet photos of her cocker spaniel.)

Horacio, we actually *have* a flag song -- two versions, in fact! BongoBoy wrote and performed it -- twice. One of the versions can be found over on his myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/russfeltis (third song down).

Just be warned: it really sticks in your brain.

Snort! At least Flaggy won't piss on the floor, unlike said spaniel. ;)

Based on his performances with La Notte Della Taranta Ensemble, I think the answer is a resounding "YES!"

Being that's he's been around the world 6 times over from the Sea of Japan to the Cliffs of Dover, I think I'd ask
where is his favorite place that he's visited or lived and why.

And/or I'd ask a "Rhythmatist" related question.
