Just to warn anyone coming that the Jubilee line isn't running this weekend, so Southwark station is closed. Waterlook is the closest alternative.

T'was an utterly fantastic afternoon that Smudge and I spent with the gorgeous Maud and Mica :D

It turns out that they were rather worried about our choice of venue, a restaurant called Tas in The Cut, due to both words meaning something rather rude in Dutch!! Well that set the tone nicely for the day and much Nutter merriment was had over gorgeous food and chilled wine.

As ever on these occasions, it felt like I'd known these guys for years. What is it about this forum?!!

Mica reamained completely unfazed by chat of all things green. The sign of a true Nutter friend! Then again most of the conversation was 'normal' Although there was a fair bit of green talk when Maud showed us her brilliant photobook. Such GREAT memories!

We took a stroll along the southbank and saw London at it's exuberant sunny best before waving Maud and Mica off on a river taxi to the O2 for their gig.

Seriously can't wait to see Maud (and Mica?) again for Ben Hur in September. Now where's my green toga?!

Zjees, it took me all morning to read all the topics I had missed during the time I was in London. I missed being on the internet soooooo much and I saw Dafttart using her Iphone in the restaurant to follow the score on Wimbledon. So I decided to buy an Ipod Touch on the airport. YAY.
We had a 1.5 hour delay on our way back home (how is that possible on such a short flight?), but we have used it to go Ipod-shopping.... :P

Maaike (not Mica  ) and I had a great time in London. It's such a lovely place. We always feel at home right away.
Only one complaint: they stop the tube at 00.00 h (huh? yep, that early). So the first night after the Madonna show it took us till 3.00 pm to get back to our hotel. I have to tell you that they also decided to work on the one tubeline that goes to the O2. It didn't ride all weekend. So about 20.000 people had to seek other ways to reach the O2. Great venue, by the way. I'm really looking forward to see Ben Hur there!

Meeting Helen and Kate was fabulous. We had such a great afternoon. That Stewart-man makes us bond so easily. I've experienced this now for a couple of times: meeting nutters is like meeting family or very old friends. We had really nice chats and some great laughs (but I can't seem to remember what was so funny, must have been the wine  )

Smax: I'm sorry you weren't there. I hope your wife is oké now?

HalcyonLisa: we are definitely gonna meet at Ben Hur, I'm looking forward to it.

iain28 and Ali: sorry you weren't there, hopefully we can meet next time.....

Now Ben Hur is very present in London. You can see the adds on your way to the tube:

On the rivertaxi to the O2, they showed the trailer quite a few times and in the O2 were big banners. I've managed to take some leaflets:

I have 3 spares so if there's anyone interested? Let me know, I'll sent you one (first comes, first gets).

Looks like you all had a great time, Maud. Nutters just seem to get along when they meet. I guess it's that little bit of Stewartness we all possess :-D That Ben Hur flyer looks cool. Nice find.
How was Madonna??

Well, Madonna was Madonna. Great show (just a little bit different than last year). The show was well organized, as usual. It's always fun to notice the little things. The show is so organised, the duration is exactly the same every night (I guess up to the second). Almost no room for spontanious things. But I must say it's getting better over the years. She is becoming more at ease and relaxed.
The design of a Madonna-show is always super, fantastic. She has such an energy! She even double-dutched (is it called that way? jumping with two roops) on stage and danced the same time.
Her voice is not strong, she knows that and she uses a lot of echo. But when you see her move, you forgive her for that :P

Personally I thought her other shows were better. I didn't like this choice of songs and the new arrangements are a bit more housy (and I don't care much for house-music), a bit sober.

Thanks for sharing. The photos are gorgeous. You look like you're all having a Nutterific time. The strawberry blond lady at the next table was looking a little jealous by the last photo.
