Just a few pics for you to see; no great pics, just a few done for the moment; the best pics will come from Eugenio's camera, he will upload them soon on our tour page.
The ones you see at my link were taken yesterday in Milano and the day before in Lugano (where you see Stewart seating at a table, he was doing an interview for a Swiss radio backstage).
It all went very well, as you have already read from Samburusunset post.
To give you more details, I could get them all at the soundcheck, despite serious problems with the backstage pass policy; anyway, they all got in, the two winners of the contest (+1), my friend Lydia, Il Bolchini, and a couple of other friends; they all had the chance to meet Stewart, who was definitely available to take pics with everybody, and sign autographs.
The show went very well, even if I guess many didn't come because it seemed a storm was on his way (no rain anyway).
After the show it seemed everybody didn't have a real plan; most of the musicians were thinking about going back to the hotel, as well as Stewart, but before going out from one of the darkest side of the arena about an hour after the show, something cool happened as we all stayed to talk and a sort of aftershow party was borning....nobody really expected that, it just happened with all of our friends (who could sneak in from a 'closed' door), the musicians, the promoters and Stewart with wife.
Ok, there was no light, but it wasn't too bad: we had anyway lights coming from the other side of the arena, and that gave us enough to see each other.
We were only missing something to drink and eat...hmmm, let me see....Stewart dressing room is still open...I'm sure there is something in...the promoter and I went to his dressing room and found out there were about 20 cans of sodas, a few orange juices, water, something to eat like small pieces of cheese, little ham pies, stuff like that....I came out with a bag full of stuff...everybody applauded and, like a waiter, I gave some 'precious' food to everybody, as well as something to drink. 25 people were satisfied!
I'm not sure Stewart realised it all came from his dressing room, but I don't think he really cared about.
We had some talk about Ben Hur Live, the work he is doing on this incredible musical, as well as some personal stuff.
(Ah, by the way: during the day I had the chance to see a very first copy of the book...not a definitive version, but something like a demo copy, with most of the graphic still to be done; great!).
Back to our night, Stewart and the musicians left half an hour later, or something more; Eugenio and I went out eating with some of the musicians of the big band, and i ended up in bed at 3,30.
A good day in the life of StewartCopeland.net
