Deciding that when i put my list up in no particular order was pointless, I'm here to make it right.
Stewart Copeland - (The most complex drummer of the bunch. No body uses the cymbals better and is 100% unique, a one of a kind.)
Buddy Rich - (Lightening fast, no one can keep up with him and he never misses a beat)
Keith Moon - (Better in the studio than live. Revolutionized the all-around drummer with great fills and use of each drum. No one did it until he came around)
Neal Peart - (Smooth as ice, quick and great fills. The best double kick bass drummer in rock)
Terry Bozzio - (Hard to watch play with all his twitching and twisting behind the set. Amazed he doesn't throw himself off beat. He was better in Missing Persons than Zappa. You got to see him use his skill.)
Chaz Chandler - (Jimi Hendrix. Just listen to "Fire". His style complimented Jimi's guitar style perfectly)
Omar Hakim - (Saw this guy play with Sting on his first and only good album and tour and he impressed the hell out of me from the get go. Love the sound of his drums and great style. If you've ever seen him play "I burn for you" live, you'll know)
Dave Grohl - (This guy can jam! Quick hands and another drummer who loved to use the cymbals.)
Carl Palmer - (One of those drummers who made it look effortless. Avant Gard.)
Tre Cool - (Not given enough credit. If you listen to the entire "American Idiot" CD you'll get a better appreciation for him. Never stops and uses great, suptle intricacees throughout.)
Clem Burk - (Blondie/Love watching him play. Distinct. Plays with his drum heads flat and beats the hell out of them with a smile on his face. Plays a simple set. Quick.)
Alan White - (Yes/Another drummer that doesn't get his due. another An avant gard type of drummer. Sounds like a classically trained percussionist.)
Ginger Baker - (Great rock and blues mixed drummer, perfect for the his generation. BTW, Clapton sucks!)
John Bonham - (Never really saw what was so great about him. Page was the influence in the music, not Bonham. But, I have to give him some justice.)
That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
"Is any body alive in here?"
