Well, it's difficult indeed to add something to Samburusunset's report! I can just say that it was really a pleasure to meet her (so funny to recognize each other, as she has already reported: Gizmo t-shirt for her, a red rose for me
). I would like also to thank Kipper for his support and all the other nutters for the unique sensation enjoing a gig together gives. Unique as Stewart is! Maybe he's more in this project now than the first time I saw him playing with the Taranta ensemble in 2004. The sound of the band is, how can I say it... more "clear cut", and I've seen more interplay between musicians, which is one of the things I love the most in a gig. I have still in my eyes Stewart "captivated" by Enza and Ninfa's voices while singing "Kali Nifta", which in griko (a dialect spoken somewhere in the Salento region) means "Goodnight" (it was not a coincidence that this was the last song to be performed, before the encore).
Just a little anecdote (that will be certainly appreciated by our Dirty Martini
): Amy had prepared a delicious mini-flag and when she showed it to Stewart he remembered Andy's curiosity about the "big" flag during The Police tour. So I asked Stewart what Sting said. "Nothing", he replied, and me: "Was he a little bit envious?", and Stewart, with no esitation: "No!", and me: "Surprised?", and Stew: "No. Mystic".
Well, Kali Nifta, my friends!
Yours, Lady P
