OT: Cricket Amphi in San Diego - Any Tips??

Looks like we will be tripping from Calgary to San Diego to see Coldplay.

Couldn't pass up a great $$ package deal that coincided with the concert.
Lots of great tips from Maggie but with the timing and distance to LA we will likely miss the Carson and Irvine show.

:?: So does anyone have any tips for this venue as we have never been? :?:

There is apparently a G.A. Pit and then reserved in 100's right behind that.
What would be better?

If this is the place in Chula Vista....get there early. It's a great big clusterfuck of traffic out in the middle of no-where. You think, "Man they already destroyed a canyon or so putting this thing here, why not put a few more fucking lanes in to accomodate the traffic??!!" Sadly, that's one of my lasting memories of seeing The Boys there.

Seriously, the traffic on the highway starts a few exits away and just stops to a bumper-to-bumper crawl if you get there with the masses. I didn't understand why the dinner meet-up was so early until we were sitting in the middle of that crap sucking everyone's exhaust in

Go early, relax, have a few beers and enjoy the show! 8)
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

Thanks Amy. That certainly will be taken under advisement.

So is it like the Gorge then where you can basically park your vehicle and crack a few cool ones waiting for the gates to open....although they were cracking down on the drinking there.
