Postby Maud138 on 22 Jun 2009 19:19

I'm gonna be in London with a friend from 3 July till 6 July. And I would really like to meet some nutters. Any chance we can meet for lunch? Drinks? or whatever?
Maybe on Sunday? Let me know who's interested.

I promis to bring my The Police Reunion photobook  :)

Hurrah! I'm in a bit of a muddle that weekend with moving house, but I'd love to meet up some time on Sunday if that suits.

Just let me know where you will be staying - I'll talk to the Coven tonight and we'll come up with some suggestions :-)

Hey Team London, have you thought about a meeting place yet?
We're staying in Mayfair and we have to catch a boat on Waterloo pier at 6.30 pm on Sunday 5th. I'm not restricted to Sunday so let me know.... :)

Hi Maud, I have a leave pass for Sunday :-)

Waterloo/south bank/Embankment etc has enough places to keep us occupied. Can't wait to meet you!

I'm so sorry Maud! Got your email, and then didn't reply (Moving house this week - and in a complete muddle). If you and Dafttart can arrange something for 5th July, I'll be there. Wherever and whenever is good for you.

ETA: Dafttart - if we were going to do a lunch thing, what about Tas on The Cut? Yummy turkish food. And not horribly expensive.

Smudge: no problem. I wish I could come and help you :(. I love moving house! I used to work for an charity-organisation that collected used furniture and stuff to sell. I'm pretty good at moving stuff around

Dafttart: please name a place and time. We''ll be there (and hopefully some more nutters).

Any more tips for lunch/dinner/things to see? I'm gonna be in London for almost 4 days.

Wahay, Maud is London-bound today :P

Naturally we have chosen the day that the first British man might be playing in the Wimbledon final since the Cretaceous period to meet! But some things are more important...!

So the plan is to meet and eat at Tas on The Cut (SE1 8LF) at around 3pm this Sunday.

Map:
http://www.tasrestaurant.com/tas_cut/directions.htm

The nearest tube is Southwark on the Jubilee line (about 2 mins walk) or Waterloo on the Bakerloo and Northern lines (about 7 mins walk)

Smudge and I will be there and it'd be fabbydoobie if some other UK nutters could come along too. Hannaha can't make it but Smax, Mrs Smax, Kimmy, Ian and Ali, Halcyonlisa, anyone else - fancy it? Hope so!

Maud, you'd better have that photobook with you!!

Hurrah!

Just to warn anyone coming that the Jubilee line isn't running this weekend, so Southwark station is closed. Waterlook is the closest alternative.
