What?

Am I the only one who doesn't understand any post by Horacio or Jose ??
Really - I don't want to insult them, I just don't understand what they want most of the time...

I believe Horacio is referring to DM's post regarding her new project about the flag. My guess is that he's hoping somebody will briefly explain her post in simple English. If any of you want to take on that challenge, I can only say in unison with Mr. T, "I pity the fool..."
As for the "flash of drums" and "pretties", I don't understand that.
Being a language teacher, I commend Horacio for his effort and risk taking. It's the only way to learn. Please keep trying, and don't be afraid to add a few words in Spanish for clarification. There are many people here who understand Spanish and will help you find the right words in English. Don't use translation websites too much. They turn every language into nonsense.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

Sorry. "In my house, anyone who used one word when they could have used ten just isn't trying hard enough."

Horacio, if you mean Stewart's book that is being released in the fall, then you want to go here: http://theharperstudio.com/authorsandbo ... and/about/

If you mean this: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10390 , then that would be me working on a book about the flag created by the SC.net forum during the Police's reunion tour: http://www.stewartcopeland.net/tours/tours14.html

As for laziness, drum flashes, and pretties: I dunno, but I would welcome a large helping of all three.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Good night.
I´m sorry for my English .
I know many times my writings can be misunderstood .
I read the DM´s article about flag,Copeland and fans.
The SC´s book too.
I generally send posts to Stewart Copeland directly from this forum and now I´m realizing everything that there are behind.
I hope don´t disturb fans´humour.

What about a book referred to this site? - What do you think about writing a book of stuffs fom this forum?
Yes?
Laziness? - Does involve so much work do it?
Who? - Who would like to do the book?
I hear drums flashes...............(some pretties) -In the film Everyone Stares....SC says to the backstage ´s camera:
-Pretty flash ,uh?.
Pretties=plural of pretty

Buenas noches!
Best!

Thanks for the explanation, Horacio. I would not worry about upsetting anyone (or disturbing their humour as you say) with your English. We tend to be a patient group of people. Sometimes native English speakers here upset each other with their words due to miscommunication. That's because we don't think there are any language difficulties obscuring the message. But often we still misunderstand each other.
I suppose some of us frustrate a lot of the English learners on this forum because we like to invent words sometimes. If you can't find a translation for some of the things I say that's because the words don't really exist.
I don't think anybody is writing a book just about sc.net's forum, but DM's book will have to talk a lot about it. The flag would not have been made if there was no forum. So, the answer to "who" is DM. The answer to "lazy" is no way! This project is very ambitious and you couldn't be lazy to do it. You might have to be a little crazy though.

>I don't think anybody is writing a book just about sc.net's forum

Ciao Horacio; being myself the one who created the whole thing, building SC.it in 2002 all alone, turned then into SC.net with the help of Eugenio, I could be the one who could write a book about the story of the site, its link with Stewart in person, how the forum evolved, which problems created in my own personal life...ahaha, and all that kind of stuff...but sincerely, a book about this thing wouldn't be that much interesting outside this gang.
Every now and then, some subjects of the forum drives me to remind a few steps on how it was created, the relation with Stewart, some chat we had about some of the posts (Stewart knows more than we can expect, he regularly reads the posts even if he doesn't write that often), and that's something that attract the attention of many forumers; you can tell most of them know many stories about the forum, being all of them a vital part of its life.
You are now part of it too, with your posts. You will see that keeping an eye constantly on this place, week by week you will know more and more about this place...keep it like that: you are already reading a book about this place, and each post is a page of the book.

As to the other books some of the forumers are writing, well, we all look forward to read them, but they are based more on a personal experience related to Stewart and the people of this forum.

Ah...Eugenio and I will be ready with a dvd in Autumn, full of images taken around Italy with Stewart (live, backstage and tv studio while Stewart was here playing with Gizmo, La Notte della Taranta and Orchestralli); from this week we will have the chance to film some more stuff as Stewart is back again in our country; we will surely add some more stuff.

Thanks for your enthusiasm about this place; personally speaking this means a lot to me.
