For serious. I've been noticing it for a while, but today I looked back and saw they hadn't posted a news update related to Stewart since January (and that was just a little comment/quote related to the tour DVD, if I recall correctly).

Andy's photo stuff gets a mention. Anytime Sting sneezes it gets a mention. And yet, Stewart has TONS of stuff coming up for this year (Ben Hur, Taranta tour dates, La Jolla, the book) and NONE of that has made the official Police site's news stream ONCE this year?

Color me highly suspicious and give me more reason why I have little to nothing to do with that site anymore...

Interesting. If you hadn't said it mentioned Andy, I would say it's probably just because the site is run by Sting's folks. Wonder if an email to the webmasters will make a difference.

When time permits, I've tried to post Stewart's upcoming events on the forum over there. It doesn't compare to having them featured in the TP.com news at all, but I figure that it's better than nothing.

Seriously, the fact that the same people (Dave and Wendy) run both tp.com and sting.com makes it hard for the non-Malgordo members to get any attention and it is a real shame.

Can I just say that I love how, a year after it came to Schmaffy in a dream, we all still use the term Malgordo as if it were the most natural thing.

And yeah and grrrrrr about the Sting-centric tp.com. That place makes me feel sad. But I've begun posting and enthusing in reply to DM's Stewarty up-dates. Maybe we should all do that and create our own annoying buzz. If the Stewart posts keep popping up in the most recent post section, it's got to tell them something.

Perhaps the explanation is more simple. If someone from Sting's staff is sending them information to post, it makes the administrators' lives simple. Perhaps, no one from Stewart's team is sending them the information to post. Haven't there been posts, long ago, about missed opportunities to see him perform that he replied to, in essence, saying that he wasn't that focused on getting the word out beforehand? I'll try to find the link reference and add it.

You might be right; on my side I never sent a news to them, but I always saw they had them anyway; probably someone from his management did that up until some time now. I'll try to keep them informed.

Maybe they just don't give a shit because the site is going to close down soon. I mean have you gotten the constent emails lately about everything in the Police store being on sale? They're cleaning house and it's probably just gonna become a shell of it's former self.

It doesn't take someone from tpt.com more than a couple seconds to google for SC news, or check out the news section here and upload info there--or heck, even just check out the SC forum on their very own site where DM has been diligently putting up the news herself.

I run an official website for a person who, if I relied only on him or his manager sending me updates directly, pickings could be pretty slim. Part of my responsibility with my job on that site is to follow news on the web (and elsewhere) myself and do my own research work to keep the site up-to-date for fans.

Just sayin'. Would be NICE to see some of that info get proper attention there on their newspage instead of just buried in the members-only forum. If that makes me a conspiracy theorist, so be it...
