Band for support THE POLICE LIVE

Maybe no band would be best. I think Springsteen does just fine without one, and I'm guessing it's going to be a thankless job opening for the coolest band in the universe.

But since we're going to have one, I think it would be nice to see an old IRS associated band, like Gio mentioned--REM, Go Gos, or Concrete Blonde.

Or how about a double reunion tour, the Replacements open for the Police?

Okay, maybe those bands to support The Police live concert, are good for USA, but for Mexico I rather a good Mexican rock & roll band...

I think a band for supporting THE POLICE will be a new one....for getting and be an attraction for new generations.... so this is my list:

- Foo Fighters
- Steand
- Coldplay
- Maxeen
- Fall Out Boy
- Killers
- My Chemical Romance

If THE POLICE make a concert in Peru, I suggest these peruvian bands:

- Miki Gonzales
- TK
- Libido
- Zen

...looks like they heard you guys about the Foo Fighters (at least in L.A.) Actually despite being a longtime fan and admirer of the music of the Foo Fighters, I still maintain that there's an appropriate time and place to see the Foo Fighters rock it out... as far as I'm concerned, a 40 minute set by the Foo Fighters amounts to 40 minutes of live Police music I won't get to hear

I would much prefer an "Evening With The Police" type of setup w/o opening bands... after 20-something years of them being away, there's going to be a hell of alot of Police music we're gonna want to hear...

Matisyahu, Coattail Riders, and Fiction Plane definitely make the most sense. I wouldn't want to see hugely popular bands opening... what would be the point?

Maybe Gio's band will be given some opening slots!
