"Bongo, you're the man!" is what I yelled to my car radio about two hours ago when I heard Gian Gomeshi's promo for Monday's edition of Q on CBC Radio 1. There'll be a feature interview with Andy Summers on the show. NIce string pulling, BB! I thought you were talking to the T.V. guy, George Str....lous (the guy's name is unspellable), about interviewing Andy. But I love that he'll be on Q. Is that why Andy had to rush off Saturday before he could sign the book for me? If so, I forgive you, Andy and even Gian.

Here's the details folks:

For Canadian listeners, Q airs nationally on CBC Radio 1 at 10 a.m. and is rebroadcast the same day at 10 p.m. It's also available on SIRIUS 137 for those with satellite radios. You can also listen live worldwide via the internet by going to cbc.ca. I believe they also have a podcast, but I can't direct you any further there. Podcasting is what I do with the refuse after shelling peas.

I hope this news gets to Lil Rock, masayo, and all the other big Andy fans.

If somebody wants to mention this on tp.com, I'd be much obliged.

This wasn't updated until just a few minutes ago. While I looked at it I remembered that Q films its best interviews and shows them on youtube. Andy might pop up there in a few days.

Is it possible to record the interview in a podcast?
I wolud like to get it for helping me studying English,apart for admiration,see.

Hey guys! I'm in a super hurry but...if you missed the show this morning, it is replayed at 10 p.m. local tonight. Those of you listening internationally on the internet, you have five chances to catch this live. Since Canada is so large there are five time zones, so national broadcasts are done five times, once in each time zone. If you just miss the 10 p.m. local time show in, say, Toronto, choose a city the next time zone to the West, for instance Winnipeg, and listen to the live stream audio on that station. There's also the bizarre half hour Newfoundland time zone thing too, but that's too confusing.
I've yet to hear this myself, but it's bound to be good.

E-L, you are too funny. Let's take a magical trip through Canadian time zones with our lovely hostess, English-lion. I'm surprised you've had any time to bathe the kids with your hourly countdowns. Now, relax and listen to the freakin' show. Andy comes up in the second half of the show. The first half is devoted to the vampire novelist guy. (I'm assuming it's a guy who writes novels about vampires, but I didn't listen too carefully, so maybe he is vampire who writes novels about guys.)
Jian said that Andy was in the studio live. Does that mean the interview actually happened on Monday morning or does it just mean he wasn't conducting the interview over the phone or from a remote studio? BB, what'd ya think? I'm asking because, if Andy was hanging in Toronto for a few days, I'm curious as to why. I can't find any info suggesting that Andy was doing any other public appearances. His "people" seemed to be in an awful hurry to spirit Andy off to some pressing engagement after Saturday's panel discussion. Andy seemed quite willing to mingle with the small but ardent crowd for little longer. Intriguing.
