Greetings. My name is Chris Gannuscio. I live in Birmingham Alabama. You are my favorite, period. The first concert I attended was The Police her in Birmingham. 11/08/83, it was Wednesday. I was in the fourth row and you blew me away. I will never forget the drum sound. Your bass drum felt like it was going to make my torso blow off!!! You are the reason why I play drums now. I even have a set of Octobons just like yours. I have all of your records and I even have the Rhythmatist on cassette. Please write back when you can.

I remember about the same time seeing the Police Picnic in Toronto Canada. There was a whole bunch of bands before the Police went on (Peter Tosh, Joan Jett, Blue Peter etc) and when the Police hit the stage it was like a tidal wave.

Remembering how the intro tape of "Voices inside my Head" played...and then you hear Copeland warming up in time to it, and then Andy and Sting before they kicked into the first song.

It's amazing the effect it has on you for the rest of your life.

Anyway, hope you hear from the Man himself.

Amen. I remember the "Voices Inside My Head" and Stewart ripping in (in time with the recording of course). I was only thirteen, but I remember everything. The bass drum sound was insane. It literally felt like a karate chop to the gut. I distinctly remember being on someone's shoulders singing "Invisible Sun" and Sting looked at me and smiled. I have all of their stuff. I even have the Rhythmatist. That is some hardcore stuff. I try to tune my snare just like Stewart's. I love the high end CRACK that he gets. So super sweet.

Don't ya just hate hearing a fat fluffy snare...I know it supposed to suit some songs but I hate it. I tune my snare as high as possible, Buddy Rich did it too.

Check the Tama web-site, have you checked out the awesome Stewart Copeland snare? I hate to tell you, but from what I have heard it really has that sound.

I did see that snare. I will have to start saving my money now. Would make for a great Christmas present!!! I really hate the fluffy snare. Why bother. They should play clarinet instead.

I don't have all of the SC records. I only have the Rhythmatist. I would love a copy of Klark Kent. I have all of the Police records.

You have all Police records.
Good for you.
To get all SC music material is really a hard job, but very interesting and delightful.
By now, I have more SC records than Police records, because he made more music after his Police experience, in his solo work and with other groups (Animal Logic, Oysterdead).
So sad, The Police lived few years, but you are lucky because you see in live performance this fabulous trio.

I saw them in concert twice ..1981 in Caracas and 1983 Synchronicity tour at the Wembley Arena... just before they split up...

I simply have no words to describe it!!!

I own KK on green vinyl, The Rytmatist and Rumble Fish on cassette, and Koteja 45"single I bought them all in England back in the 80's! ...

Needless to say I have all police records as well!!!..

What I really want to find is BBc TV program aired in 1983 called "Police in the East" (hosted by Annie Nightingale) it was amazing... I caught audio it on tape but it got lost!!!...

Does anyone know whether his video is for sale?
