Luckily it's short and fairly clear. If anyone can fill in the missing couple of words in SC's speaking, please do:
I went to a [?quaking?] mountaintop, with the lightning and the thunder and the clouds and everything like that, and I bared myself to the heavens, and it revealed itself to me.

That's how we write all music. Every time I get a job [?something?], it means I have to go back up the mountain again, pull off all my clothes, and go through it.

Well, the music is not central to the story but to the spectacle and the presentation of the story. The music is a very important tool in creating atmosphere, in creating the emotional drama, because there are very few lines of dialogue, so the music has to tell you what's been said. And the lines of dialogue that there are are in foreign languages, so the music provides information as well as emotion. How to tell the history of it, I guess -- it's not so much the history as the ethnicity of it, the culture of it. And for that I've gone to the sources -- for Aramaic [?something?] Syria. And for the Latin music, we don't know too much about it, so I had to make that up.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

For some reason, the part with the guy in the Roman getup standing with the horse behind Stewart reminded me of the Roman Go Home scene in Monty Python's "Life of Brian."

Thanks for the transcription, DM! Hub was talking to me and then hustling me out the door to pick up some stuff for the garden while I was trying to watch, so I didn't make out much of it.

Guess he's going to be doing more interviews before the show opens?? One hopes so.

In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

This linked is blocked at work because of "mature content." Maybe it's the part where he says he pulling off all his clothes that did it.

Thanks for the translation and pics guys. I'll have to check everything out when I get home.

Thanks again for the link. I'm still a little boggled by the whole shebang.

Hey Dive - at least ElMundo didn't follow what appears to be standard BBC policy du jour, and completely fade out the 'foreign' language in favour of only being able to hear the translation. Slightly disappointed it didn't have Aramaic subtitles.....

If you peruse Dietmar's pics (from THE visit) I think you'll notice the same a$$hat on the counter where he and Stewart are standing and shooting the shit.
