ETA: I'd like to know who is playing Rita the bar wench(ish). And whose legs (in boots and a butcher's apron?) keep appearing behind SC in the lounge chair, but only in the shots from the front.

I was the butcher in the pool scene and was carving up a dead carcass! I was recruited to be the butcher on the day, so the crew bestowed the title of Sound Butcher on me as I was the recording engineer for the Opera out in Tucson and elsewhere. Unfortunately the boots and apron are the only parts of me that made the cut!
You can find the credits on IMDB.com
Sorry they didn't get more of you in the final. U don't found the sound butchered at all. ;)
SC-There are a few crazy people on this planet. Sure sign of that is that they kinda like my music

So Jeff, you qualified for the Equity card, but missed out on Master Butcher certification?

I keep re-reading that post and hoping that it will become obvious why it would be imperative to have someone dismembering a carcass in shot, only to focus on the welly boots in the final cut.

In the grand scheme of the oddness of the work this is (of course) a minor niggle. I trust that day of filming was brought to a close by a decent BBQ of novice-butchered flesh, and that a BBQ sauce technician was on hand.

HAHAHA. Perfect. I was wondering what the hell that was about. Like smudge, I can't figure out how a poolside butcher fits into the scene -- but clearly that's our first mistake for trying.

I was wondering if it was enough to earn a SAG voucher.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Cillae.

'Strange things happen' is an apt description of what I just saw.

Yes, Con. I'm thinking drink would definitely enhance the viewing experience!

Must put that on the Nutter gathering agenda.
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

I've had about 2 days to digest this. And still, adjectives escape me.

If you haven't noticed, cilae posted the whole thing in the links section. Watching the entire piece in chronological order is an experience. Again, I lack adjectives.

I remember reading here about a number of you watching Horse Opera either at a get together in Savannah or at some pre-MSG house party. Was this what you watched, or was it a different version? Not that this thing ain't plenty different.

Bearded Stewart was a treat. But, in exchange for that, I now have "The Cowboys of Nottingham" stuck in my head. Everything has its price.

Did he really sing, "Spank her and she will thank yer...Spank her like a banker"?
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

Yep LL it was Savannah. It was me, Sockii, Conroy sitting in a room and watching H O.
The southern comfort was an added bonus.
Here's the bit with Andy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=attdIMuW ... annel_page as well as Jesse and Billy's fleet-footed duet about spanking.

Hard as I try, I just can't look away.

ETA: Actually here's a link to the set: http://www.youtube.com/user/Corrupt5358

Thanks, cillae. My day needed this.
I finally got around to looking at this.
1. The guy who shoots Andy looks like Sting with a black beard.
2. And we make fun of the LUTE album? (Disclaimer: I also own it, and like it).
3. OH NO, they killed Andy!
4. I too cannot stop looking.
5. Is it me, or is it oddly disturbing to hear Stewart's voice but not see him in the action?

Weird as hell, but I got the message. Stereotypical cautionary tale about power, greed and the road to Hell being paved with good intentions.

Poor Andy, but Stew gets double-crossed by Billy the Kid

Not bad for a drummer. Who wrote the libretto?

The preacher reminded me of Les Claypool.
