There's a Converse *outlet*?!

Geez, you big city people and your debauched ways.

;)

Nice!

Though, you always dress so nicely, I can't see you in the distressed chucks! I'm working on the mental picture...

PR, HAH, but thanks! I'm trying to loosen up my non-work image a little -- part of my new life as a drummer chick. However, they don't look quite as distressed in real life -- none of the grunge on the rubber -- I guess you have to provide the filth yourself.
(chuckles to self as she writes this bit)

Yeah, DMOTD, check out the Premium Outlets chain near you. They typically all carry the same stores. (Y'all didn't think I was paying full price for anything, did you?!) http://www.premiumoutlets.com/brands/br ... sp?id=1537

Well, that's pretty fucked up! You pay a lot of money for that filth! Why are they so expensive if not for the fake filth?

I think they were charging by the grommet. But, remember, I bought them at an outlet for only $20. Maybe for that price, one must add one's own rock-n-roll dinge. It'll be worth it to create my own, customized filth on them. I know a couple of clubs to stroll through that should take care of it in no time. And, I'll have the higher moral ground in knowing that I dirtied them myself.

The real challenge is the other pair. I have a yellow lab. Yellow labs and all black canvas shoes, do not mix well.

catchka-you can always add "character" the way they do furniture now. take some heavy chains and beat the hell out of em and then wear them wet in the rain to mold them to your foot.

Man! A Converse outlet and a rockin' Tama Mamma in the same town? I may have to change my mind about going down to Tampa with the kids to visit their Dad this summer.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

That's a pretty awesome Doc, Maria. I have this pair & love 'em (apologies if I've linked this already...just been into the Docs lately since they've really upgraded the line style wise and they're soooo comfy)

http://www.dmusastore.com/p-2378-phina.aspx

They're more RAWK and less industrial IRL.

Speaking of a million grommets, check this one:

Tho this may be the SC.net boot o' the season:

I found my first-ever pair of Chucks in storage earlier tonight. Bought in 1985 for $3, IIRC...they don't smell so good, but I just can't bring myself to ditch 'em. Plain white, tho I seem to recall garnering a few band autographs on them along the way, which you can still make out under the grime, a little.

OMG!! those are awesome finds.

Those ribbon ones are so cool but I have no idea if I could pull them off.
For that matter any of the boots as my legs are kind of a... "thick".

But those wellingtons are too DIE for! I always wanted 'wellies' ever since I got my first paddington bear! & for only $50 too! thats a steal.

I have a wide range of docs, sandals, shoes, clogs but no boots...hmmm

Anyone else find it hilarious that we've been talking about shoes for over a year and a half?

640-some-odd posts, and 43 pages seems like a pretty paltry effort given the subject and the timeframe. ;-)

Unfortunately the outlets are all out of shoes now, since Chatchka visited.
