False alarm: Italian garbled misinformation heck!
Let me ask you this... if there was ONE more show, anywhere in the world, would you go no matter what?
No. I am sated, exorcised, and a bit broke :-)

The exception would be if everyone who I missed like buggery last time round at MSG could make it. Because it is a ceremony, and it wasn't right without them.

Well, at least I'm glad to have provided an adrenaline shot and a dress reharsal of what would happen if...

I'll never read my Google Copeland update just after my first espresso, I promise.

Not that I want Malgordo to go near Stewart in the next 20 years. Of course.

I love the way you think, DM! Exactly my thought.
Let me ask you this... if there was ONE more show, anywhere in the world, would you go no matter what?
No, I'm broke and I believe that IF there was one more show, the chances of more shows would be big.....

Can I opt for a third way? "Smile. And bitch that it didn't happen until you were old enough that your knees hurt when when you jump around for that long."

Ditto smudge. If money were no object, sure, hell yeah -- chances to see Stewart play are rare; but since I've got nothing left to hock, I'd happily cheer from the sidelines. I'm plenty good: I got the chance to see the closest approximation as was possible to what I never had the chance of seeing, and I got to do so more times than was humanly necessary. I had some amazing opportunities, and my dance card overfloweth; I would have no right to grouse about sitting another go out.

I'll totally third Samburu's backyard though.

How about "Smile and be glad that you were old enough to wear sensible shoes"?

Oh sure...they have decided to start it all again, as 32 years ago, this time not from London, but from Ireland....they will play the first gig in a pub (of course Henri will be instead of Andy, that will arrive in a few months)...and the story will go on...

I just received a few mails from some Italian magazines enquiring about this floating news, I had to comment as follows:

- what did the guy drunk? I want to drink it as well if these are the results!

- it's an old news, but the publisher received only now the e-mail the journalist sent a year ago!

- fanatism drives fans to confuse dreams with reality, and viceversa!

Maybe in a couple of weeks we should bump the "Disaster Gig" thread. Its anniversary is coming up, and it would make for such merry mayhem.

Love the new title, Lil' T.

A fair point. It would have hurt more in pixie boots.

Heh. I wish I was that sensible. Lesson learned by the end of the tour

To answer the question and be honest, I probably couldn't resist another show. If it were thousands of dollars, I suppose I'd have to resist, but it would be extremely tempting. I'm plenty satisfied with what I've done though, so the desire for another show really isn't there.

HAHA. I can't remember the exact words, but I do remember something of the "bitch, change your damn shoes cuz I am not carrying you" variety.

At this point I'm more interested in the drummer than the band, so I'm just chuffed to see Stewart still playing whatever occasionally, especially outside Italy. (No offense, Italy.)

Do you think the author might benefit more if that were done just prior to publication of his collected mis-speaks?

And likewise on the thread title - that's a hoot Ms T.

Man, I'm glad I missed this until after it was disproved. I had a cardiology exam this afternoon. If I had read about a re-reunion show before going in, my heart would have been off the charts. They'd be delivering me straight to the hospital in an ambulance.

Thanks for the false alarm. I enjoyed the excitement anyway. And it gave rise to DM's great avatar and location. BA HA HA!

IF in NYC, then probably unless it was on a date when I have U2 tickets (seriously).

But "anywhere in the world, no matter what"? No.

Hmmmmmmm. If it were just me, yeah, honestly, I'd probably go.

But I'd have to add in the cost of the divorce paperwork and settlement, which might make things prohibitively expensive...

;)
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!
