I wish so too, but they way they set it up, believe me, it was very easy to abuse the system (anyone with a web domain of their own could pretty much do so.)

I probably could have beaten her if I'd been home on Sunday before 10:30pm that night, as I had some folks trying their best to help me out and give Megan L. a taste of her own medicine. I pretty quickly figured out what she was doing early on, and so as well as trying every "honest" method I could to get votes, I was also ready to fight back good and dirty. But we got off to too late of a start Sunday night, but that said, I had a lovely lovely Mother's Day spent with some of the best company (see avatar, plus with vespa and his folks) that I wouldn't have traded for the trip to Bonnaroo anyway.

It's just too bad the radio station couldn't have set up a more foolproof system, so that the contest could have been based on merit instead of internet hacking skillz.

If the radiostation had set up a foolproof system, I'm sure you would have win!

I'm glad you feel this way about it.

Hers was indeed pretty stupid  There were a few goodies, inc of course Sockii's, but Megan L's was a crappy shot, the like of which would never make it off most of our cameras!

Well, those of us going to Bonnaroo will miss you, but it is what it is.

Given how unscientific that poll was, tho, wouldn't surprise me if this had been rigged from the getgo. I'd bet $100 (at least) "Megan" is the daughter of a station advertiser or some local promoter or something...not that we'll likely ever know, but at some point you do wonder why stations bother doing these things since they make them so unaccountable to the public and easy to hack.

(joining others in disgust over general crappy-ness of 99.99% of the submitted photos)

Oh bugger. Sorry sockii, not least because it was looking so, well, possible for a while there. Wish we'd known how to play the system better. Is now a good time to start planning for next year? ;-)
