Stewart Copeland, live in Milano July 4th, 2009

Postby giovanni on 10 May 2009 20:52

Stewart is back with LA NOTTE DELLA TARANTA

(what a coincidence...the first time I saw The Police in Milano it was exactly 27 years ago, the same day; I will celebrate with the man himself)

I will soon have the definitive tour dates in a few days; by now:

STEWART COPELAND w/LA NOTTE DELLA TARANTA ENSEMBLE
MILANO, ITALY - Arena Civica - July 4th, 2009

Wonderful news - thank you Giovanni. Enjoy!

Do you happen to know if the festival is happening in Salento this year? (Not much chance I can get there, but I can't find any information about it.)

Cake

Postby giovanni on 10 May 2009 21:59

>Maybe STEWART will bring you some cake!

In the last few years, he was in Italy on his birthday, and we had a cake together; I'm not sure he will still be here on that day, but we'll probably hang around for some days and a cake will surely be at one of our dinners!!!

I don't know about any other date than this one at the moment (and the one in Switzerland).

Glad to hear of the tiur. Don't think there is any way I can make it to Italy this summer but thrilled for those who can or are there already.

Sweet.

Funny that the purchase page doesn't mention anything about Taranta: it just seems to be the Stewart Copeland show. I can picture it now: one man, one drum kit, 12,000 screaming Italians, and the longest drum solo in the history of the world.

Have a great time, everyone!
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Sounds reasonable to me. Be prepared, though: flying in all those Italians could take some work.

Haha. Excellent.

Aw man. Jealous as hell of everybody that's gonna see the Europe shows, but also quite - quite - happy the Man is coming out of his temporary performance-retirement.

the link

Postby giovanni on 11 May 2009 22:59

If you notice, I have erased the link I posted.
Today I talked to the promoter and he said he got no confirmation right now for a complete list of gigs of LA NOTTE DELLA TARANTA to spread.

The Milano show is confirmed (please do not check the site I linked as the ticket costs will be definitely different and the real sale of the tickets for that show hasn't started yet).

There will be some concerts at the end of the June and early July even outside Italy but please, just wait a few more days for a definitive schedule of the tour.
