OT: Urgent voting required for Sockii's Bonnaroo trip

Postby smudge on 10 May 2009 19:45

(Pimping for Sockii coz I think she is away from home tonight).

For the uninitiated - deadline is midnight tonight to vote for sockii to storm Bonnaroo for free. She was leading all week, but is now a tiny-weeny bit behind. This is one of those situations where your vote really does count.

Here's the original thread:

Here's the quick link to the voting:

Scroll down - you're looking for Nicole P. Your vote only counts if you deal with the validation email so PLEASE check your mail and follow the validation instructions.

Damn! I just had two more votes verified, but as of now Sockii's down by about 400. Can we crank it up enough in the next hour to catch up?

400??!!

DAMN it. I just got home (had concert tix tonight - spinal tap, which was awesome) but went to vote just now and they had taken down the voting page.

What happened?? I know there were some plans in the works.

Hey guys, thanks for the efforts! I know there was a good rally towards the end, but couldn't see the final numbers at the last minute so I have no idea how I ended up.

Win or lose, I TOTALLY TOTALLY appreciate everyone's efforts to help out and get votes from everyone they could for me. That was awesome and I think we put up a damned good fight no matter what.

So cheers for that!

(And yeah, got home just before 11pm so I missed a lot of the earlier drama...but it was a lovely day (GODOT is AWESOME OMG and that whole freakin CAST deserved Tony nominations) and I'm kind of glad I wasn't at home all day obsessively checking vote tallies...)

Not yet - they just said on the station winner to be announced "soon", but no idea on how soon that will actually be...

Well guys, sad to say the work was all for naught - Megan L. won. :?

It wouldn't bug me so much that she won for figuring out how to cheat faster than I did (and believe me, that's all it was, a simple cheat to a faulty voting system) if her picture hadn't sucked so bad.

Oh well. Guess that's just more vacation time to save up for Italy...
