LA Nutters: Mini Konvention for Dietmar

Mwa ha ha ha. Excellent.

Awesome to hear you had such a great (and productive) trip. And as much as I don't like presupposing to speak for someone else, I have to imagine Stewart probably enjoyed your company (and questions!) as much as you enjoyed the chance to be there.

Cheers.

Drivemisstress is right, it was a great pleasure to have the opportunity to chauffeur you around LA, Dietmar and the great company you provided. I've been extremely lucky to have gotten the chance to drive around some awesome folks in my time (Uncle Ian, Saint Jeff, Mighty Pecos, and countless awesomenutters), so you're in great company! Can't wait to do it again, hopefully in DC one day. WOOOOOOO!!!!!!

[quote="Dietmar"]I was immediately tested about my Police knowledge. Stewart took out his 1977 diary and asked me what happened on May 12. As my answer was correct we didn't have to leave immediately.

I knew your powers were great, Dietmar, but I had no idea they were THAT great. Color me impressed.

I got nervous just taking a Police quiz on Facebook, even though I was always a good test-taker. But to have STEWART himself quizzing me would be something else! I'm so glad you got to see him and to hear Flaggie is doing well :)

I love the image of Stewart asking Dietmar a trivia question in order to gain entry to his studio. It reminds me of all those legends and myths where the heroes had to solve a riddle in exchange for safe passage. Maybe Stewart should dig a moat around his tower studio and get a troll to sit on the bridge and fire questions at all would-be visitors. I can see the troll with a laptop verifying answers on the Police wiki.

HEY!!! Most excellent!!!!! You know what STEWART's problem is, tho? Cherry Vanilla stole the show!

I'm seriously loving her hair. And how happy you guys look. Although seeing SC with the banjo, well...we've heard rumors to this effect before (his affection for bluegrass)...I'm just waiting for him to show up at the Ryman w/Del McCoury.

(Not seriously, but can you imagine the mindblow?)

You know, *I* remember that blue shirt. Mr. Police Man.

Very awesome. Thanks for sharing, all.

Great photo's, Dietmar. We finally got to see some more of THE studio! And the man himself looks sooooo relaxed.
Now, am I the only one who wants to hear more? For example: what was the answer of his question 12 may 77? (oh I just read it under the photo, )
Could he answer all of your questions?
How did you get there? Did you just email him "hey Stewart, The Diet is in town!"
And how was it to see the flag again? Feeling nostalgic? Is the backside of the flag visible?
Is the book already finished? Is he gonna "tour" with the book?
