LA Nutters: Mini Konvention for Dietmar

Postby Chatchka on 04 May 2009 15:25
there really really isn't any time right now as I've only got about 4 hours of sleeping time until we head towards the airport

meg, dan and I got lucky today
we saw the flag and forced a final flagpoint out of the man

then we met cherry vanilla

all in all an awesome week

dietmar
I can feel the second hand joy washing over me. And, once again, I have a shit-eating grin on my face that will be difficult to explain here at work. Aw hell, I'll say it. THUNK.

And Dietmar, you picked the right week to visit NY. It is cold (50s) and rainy this week. Brrrrrr.

Ahem. Dietmar, you almost put me at a loss for words.

Maybe you didn't get the memo, but YOU were our "very special guest," on both coasts! Nothing that happened in the past week would have even occurred without you. So...if you are a nerd...well, then...nerds rule and the world needs more of them!

Even Roxanne hasn't stopped talking about you. And being a dog, that's really something!

Dietmar, you're my favorite kind of nerd (and, as you know, I am an uber-nerd, so that's saying something!).

I'm glad you had such a great visit, and I'm sorry I couldn't swing to either coast to play with you. Safe travels!

So happy for you Dietmar...what a grand trip you've had! Can't wait for more photos, stories, etc. once you're well rested.

Sorry to have missed you and hope to see you on your next visit.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! That is so awesome!!! A part of me was hoping that I could have gotten stuck in LA for another whole day when I knew it was going to be tricky getting home. Oh well, I would have been too geeky to kalypso with Stewart as well. Right before I left to go to the airport on Saturday night, I shared a geeky moment with Dietmar when we disassembled Meg's DirectTV universal remote control to retrieve a dead battery that had gotten stuck in the battery compartment.

Can't wait for more deets from Dietmar and the photos and videos. I know there could be some new avatars coming soon ;) Hope you had a great trip home and can't wait to do it all again someday.
