nice to hear thoughts of public enemy supporting. class.

I think the beat (or 'the english beat' for you american chappies)should support but only if they can get the proper lineup back together.

or maybe the damned should support...they would be great

could be somebody like simple minds i reckon

Gio, didn't PE announce there was a some big box set on the way this year or in the near future?

Otherwise they've been very prolific recently, issuing one disc later year as well as the year previous. Their lineups do shift slightly from album to album, tho. Chuck and Flav are the only constants.

I never even thought about it from a cops vs. robbers perpective. If Henry returns to the stage for few performances, they could do Andy vs. Henry, haha!

Hey Gio, your idea to include Henry on Police's tour, sound very interesting for me...
I told Henry to jump up on stage for some shows, he said he would have loved to...he would ask Stewart about...maybe we will see something like that....I asked him to play some tracks they did at the time, but I doubt they would play other stuff beyond FALL OUT or LANDLORD...maybe VISIONS OF THE NIGHT, but I doubt...probably 'only' FALL OUT, that would be amazing to listen to NOW!

Giovanni
well done...
and I hope that Mr.Padovani will remember that it was our suggestion if he should play with them again...

I just always feel bad reading stories like his. Many bands have them. (e.g. The Beatles, Nirvana)

Ok to see Fallout with the four would be insane...talk about rarer that reunion alone...hubby would go nuts, it's his, hands down, fav Police song...Padovani appears very supportive & gracious, cheers to him...hope his stock rises, too, with reunion...am definitely checking out this new album :)

Maybe you European fans will be lucky enough to at least see Henry join the band for a song or two, somewhere along the tour route? I could see it happening...wouldn't it be cool? Hey, they could even play "Welcome Home" (which is a wonderful song, BTW, definitely on heavy rotation on my ipod).

Henri Padovani playing would be excellent - although the only legitimate songs he could do would be Fall Out and Nothing Achieving in my opinion.

Both classic tunes though!

Anyway, here's an idea - why don't they practice virtually everything, put the names of all the obscure b-sides/album tracks in a hat and pick out say 5 or so out a night to supplement "the hits"?

Tall order I know but it would very cool (and funny) to see them perform in a "musical tombola" style!!

I love the PE idea too...to add to the list of covers I think "I fought the law" but can't ever think of that song after Dead Kennedys, the owniest version...

The Damned--now there's something that would just make me keel over as well...always been bonkers about Dave Vanian and think Rat Scabies is an underrated overall madman :)
