Whaaaa?

We just got back from a great concert -- Brad Mehldau (jazz pianist), playing with a bassist (Larry Grenadier) and drummer Jeff Ballard. Ballard was doing some crazy stuff, including, in one song, playing the tambourine with his foot while carrying on with the sticks etc. on the drums.

But I've never heard of a foot-driven cowbell ... details please!

Hmmmm...interesting youtube clip. I couldn't help but notice the gong in the background. Unfortunately, if that drummer always wears outfits like that, he'll need waaaaay more than an enormous gong.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.
