I hit ticketmaster today at the start of the Toronto sale to the public. Tried for best available, couldn't get anything. Tried for anything at all, after about 5 minutes "on hold," again, nothing was available, not even nosebleed!
I am disappointed, but not surprised. There are lots of Best Buy Toronto tickets on eBay. I was looking there last night, and many of the eBay sellers are advertising that the Toronto show is already "sold out." I should have listened, huh? I also found a reseller online, with decent to great seats for sale.
Normally I wouldn't consider using a reseller or buying tickets on eBay, but I have never seen the Police live, the music means a lot to me and this might be a once-in-a-lifetime chance, so it is a tempting but remote possibility. I'm not doing the fan club because from what I have read people are not getting good seats, Best Buyers have first crack, and I want to put the $100 toward getting the best seat possible. Of course, there are financial considerations. Very few people don't have that worry!
Luckily, I have some time and flexibility with cities (because I have not had a big vacation trip for a goodly while, and oh what a vacation that would be). If I can't score a ticket, the music will be out there somewhere, and I will be shamelessly listening.
