La Jolla Summerfest group ticket info (& list)

Postby themudderqueen on 23 Apr 2009 01:56

I am only slightly closer than empty to the venue - maybe an hour - and as I've said before, I will put up anyone who wants to put up with me and mine. I can certainly assure you that spending any amount of time at my house would gear ANYONE up for more than a little foolishness.

pre-show activities at mudderqueen. thinking a weekend Konvention in LA might be helpful if we are hoping for ANY special guests at all....

Forget myself? perish the thought. I AM going. I just might have tickets.

I'm pretty much in for sure - gotta double check the calendar - but I'm more than willing to pony up for a ticket even on the off chance I can't make it, if it'd help the Nutters get the group rate.
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Meg, what are you talking about? The show is on a Friday. Are you talking about being in SD/La Jolla for the screening on Thursday, pre-show activities in LA on Friday and then the show in La Jolla Friday night?
I'm not down with driving SoCal freeways on a Friday afternoon (or any afternoon really). I'm more inclined towards dinner in La Jolla beforehand.

There's plenty of time to discuss plans, though.

Hoookay Nutters, here's the latest:

I called and we're going for the $60 tickets at the 20% off discount. They're still dealing with subscriber exhanges and returns this week so, they'll call next week and we'll work out the details and put down the deposit, etc then.

When I gave the lady my phone number (a Balto #) she asked where 'we' were coming from. I told her we were coming from all over and then she asked if we were a fan club. I said, "Yes, we're big Stewart Copeland fans." I've got a feeling she'll take good care of us. :D

I'll keep you updated as more info comes in. Now, back to your regular programming.

SamSun, Double check with Empty please. I'm not clear based on her response to my post whether she needs to purchase a ticket!

Also, send me your street address through email so I can send you some monay, honay!

One more consideration - it seems the prudent thing to do would be to find a close-by hotel, double-up, do whatever, and I am very willing to contribute a more generous amount in consideration of all those who are bearing the cost of flying in, while I need only mount my trusty steed.

I have started checking into hotel accomodations in the area - not too bad pricewise. We should have at least 2 vehicles; I have a van; empty will, I assume, be driving - so we have some leeway as to where we want to book. I'm very hyped for this, really looking forward to it. My house is big enough to accomodate many, but - yeah, it would put a damper on our fun to party-out at my house, then drive to SD on Thurdsay night, drive back, then down again on Friday. I, for one, am not keen on being the designated driver,

I was hoping I could make this event, but at the moment it doesn't look promising. I'm almost done getting my masters degree. I have to do a practicum this summer. The way things are going I'll either A) be out of vacation time at work because I used it up for my practicum or B) be out of money because I took Leave Without Pay to do my practicum. It's a no-win situation. :(

sorry to hear that - but on the other hand, I'd sure rather be finishing up my Master's Degree. best of luck and much admiration

You'll be missed, Shy! But HUGE congratulations on reaching your goal! I know how hard you worked for it!
