Laz, I've only seen you for minutes in the Vancouver queue.

Good that someone's coming or Meg would think I'd travel to LA just for her. Which was the basic idea to be honest. Plus LA itself.

HAH...well as for draw, the NYC crew knows that we all come a close second to the cheese curds <grin> It looks like I'm gonna have to try one of these things after all (had grilled cheese before)!

Wish I could head out to LA round this time of year, we'll have to see about the La Jolla thing...but I need to get so much done before I can even raise that topic <giggle>

I think the consensus a few pages back was Tuesday night because Dietmar and DM have to get up early on Thursday to get Dietmar to the airport for his trip to LA.

We'll definitely have some more freedom on Tuesday night as it's going to be an early morning on Thursday (I do not want to be the poor fool who has to tell Stewart that I broke the Dietmar) -- so we're aiming for, at the least, a Fat Annie's dinner on Tuesday night some time.

How's about, say, Fat Annie's on Tuesday at 6:30 pm?

As for plans for Tuesday day and Wednesday day/early evening, Nancy and I are working on a list of options for folks to consider, but this being pedestrian Manhattan, we're at the mercy of the weather -- which is predicted to be anywhere between perfect and monsoon depending on what time you check the reports. (It's been pretty schizo around here.)

If the weather is nice, there's Central Park or walking to some record and book stores and sex shops in the Village and the Fruit Loop; if the weather is lousy, we can pick a museum and get our culture on, etc. -- and there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars, of course. Since we're still a few days off, it's just hard to say what's the best option for which day.

(Unfortunately both the Daily Show and Colbert Report are booked up for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Nancy was kind enough to check. That would've been fun.)

But even though I'll need to drag Dietmar home a bit early on Wednesday, Indy and SuperCat will still both be in Manhattan -- so for pretty much the bulk of Tuesday and Wednesday, it seems that someone will be around.

BTW, I'm going to be in NYC for business on May 4-6 ish. Still working out the deets if anyone can, and has residual stamina, for a dinner or lunch while I'm up north. Such a bummer about the near miss on the timing.
