PS: Nick, you should absolutely add Miss Gradenko. Malgord didn't want to sing it.
Wait. That is Sting, isn't it?

While Malgodo didn't want to sign it, as far as I can tell he did sing it. Am I wrong on that?
I really dont think Stewart is singing on the chorus of Roxanne. Sounds like its all stingo to me.
I could be wrong, but there's is a deeper voice that sort of sounds off key. I thought that genius can only be the God of Thunder! 8)

Roxanne's tracks can be separated from that game version.
But all the harmony vocals in the chorus are still together on two different tracks. So you can't listen to that deep harmony on its own. That deep harmony could have been sung by anybody. The higher vocals are clearly all Sting's.

I remember reading that the first verse of Does Everyone Stare was actually from the demo that Stewart did on his own to present the song to the band.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

double malgordo....

nice thread.... there are shots from the zenyatta recording of some vocals going down, aren't there? with all three of 'em round the mike, and 'i burn for you' from "brimstone and treacle", but you wanted more than backing vox........

sounds like stewart underneath gordo ( ) all the way through "bombs away", remove gordo and it would be a KK tune..

miss Gradenko is DEFO gordo... (especially the sloppy layered vocal in the first verse at about 34 seconds)
I decided to put a list of released songs in which Stewart sings more than background (or at least where he chants in the case of Wield the Spade.)

Did I miss any songs?

Police:
On Any Other Day
Does Everyone Stare (first verse)

Klark Kent (some of which were released as SC rather than KK songs):
Too Kool To Kalypso
Strange Things Happen
Thrills
Excesses
Love Lessons
Office Girls
Away From Home
Don't Care
My Old School
Ritch In A Ditch
Stay Ready
Guerilla
Yo Ho Ho

From the Rhythmatist:
Serengeti Long Walk
African Dream
Gong Rock Remix

Oysterhead:
Wield the Spade

[ETA: added Does Everyone Stare]
You forgot "Out Of Bounds" with Adam Ant...he does the Yodeling...lol.
and if sometimes i can't seem to talk you know this blackborad lacks a piece of chalk

just listened to Miss Gradenko

clearly Stewart AND Sting singing
I'd say 67% Sting and 33% Stewart in the mix

listen to the end of the 1st part of the chorus "nobody but us in here - nobody but us" around 1:40 into the song (after the guitar solo)

you can hear how two different people pronounce "here" in a different way, one of them is an American

you can hear a similar difference on "us"

I always heard the US accent in Miss Gradenko
(especially in the verse "policy meeting, new ways of cheating" clearly US)

and the fact that Sting mentioned it as "his favorite song" with "Mother" in the Costello Special explains how much he liked the song.

Malgord  - might be, but I am more incline to think that Stewart doubled up his vocals (he usually does, even in the Rhytmatist) because his voice doesn't have enough volume, as he is not a trained singer.

Might be wrong, of course. Of course the MAN could answer, but he FORGOT that his place EXISTS!!! :( :( :( :( :( :(

I hear Stew in BOTH "Bombs" and "Miss Gradenko" behind Gordo. Don't think MG is all Sting.

Based on the "Everyone Stares" footage--he sang the wordless chorus line on "I Burn For You", correct? (sorry if someone mentioned this already)

In "Masoko Tanga" there's what I've always called the "secret voice," which to me sounds like Stewart. It's in the background and I can't even tell you where in the song it is ... but he says "Oh..." or something along those lines.

In "Reggata de Blanc" Stewart has his own "ay-yo!" (Subtle, but it's definitely there.)
