Stewart to play La Jolla Summerfest Aug 21St

Postby luddite lady on 11 Apr 2009 05:14

I can't crack the code to see the link either. Good detective work, Agent Amy.
Now I'm worried about my daughter's psychic abilities. Just this morning she said to me out of the blue, "We've never visited California before. Why don't we go there this summer?"
I was sort of surprised because up til now she has shown zero interest in California.
Sadly, due to financial constraints, I don't see another crazy luddite family trip in the near future. I told her she'd better start digging for gold in the backyard if she wants us to go to California. After this news, I'll be grabbing a pick and joining her out there tomorrow morning.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

Sounds like a sign that are suppose to go. :)

LaJolla is in just a little north of San Diego. I won't tell your daughter but Disney Land is an hour or two north of there but you will need to find a lot of gold in your backyard for that expensive vacation destination.

It seems there will be a premiere of new Stewart music with red fish blue fish, according to his manager's website:
http://artists4film.com/index.cfm?JID=F ... StoryID=30
Copeland will also be composing a new piece of music to be performed with red fish blue fish, a University of California, San Diego resident percussionist ensemble. The piece has been specially commissioned for La Jolla Music Society's SummerFest, which will take place on Aug. 21, 2009
Dancerina, of course. She's the one that always comes up with the money intensive ideas. Yesterday was her birthday, marking 15 unsuccessful years of trying to convince her that she's not an hieress.

Sporterella, on the other hand, feels so guilty about the fast approaching cost of sending her to university that she's been cutting coupons for me and scooping up the weekly sales from the grocery store she works at.

I am going to try to kome to Kalifornia for the Konvention.

Will still need to get final approval from the bosses (i.e., the boss at home (mrs. njperry) and the boss at work). Also it looks like I will need to be in El Paso, Texas for some time in August for work. Hopefully I can get away to see Nutters.

I am only to find out a little bit more about this event through google searches. Perhaps others, such as the skilled searcher IndyGirl, can discover more.

1. Cellist Felix Fan
It appears the cellist Felix Fan will be performing at the event since it shows up on his calendar:
http://www.felixfan.org/schedule.html

He lives in San Diego.

There appears to be 3 different performances that night including Stewart’s, so we don’t know on which performance(s) Mr. Fan will be on.

2. Birch North Park Theatre
The Theatre where the performance will be looks very very nice. It is the Birch North Park Theatre in San Diego (not nearby La Jolla).

Here is info on the venues: http://www.birchnorthparktheatre.net/About.htm

It only has 730 seats. I suspect a sizable percentage of those 730 seats will be filled by someone wearing green.
