OT: U2 Plea

OT: U2 Plea

Hey all,

For me it is the Police, for Mr. Chatchka, it is U2. For some INEXPLICABLE reason he has let his 1987 legacy fan club membership lapse. (WTF? ) Does anyone have a presale code that we can use for Tampa? (We will only use it for that city, I promise.)

And, opinions, Adam side or Edge side? Oddly, I've never seen them live and don't really have an opinion.

He was really supportive of my temporary madness last year, so anything y'all can do to help is very appreciated.

My email link is below if you have any suggestions that you don't want to share publicly. 8)

Thanks!

There is no Adam, Edge, Bono or Larry side; you will have the four of them: this tour the stage will rotate I guess.
See their website and you will have a look at the stage plan.

Besides fan club presales some venues have been having presales. We've been getting notices for a post-fan club, pre-public presale for the Giants Stadium shows in NJ. Sect404 got good seats in both of these presales.

also, don't worry about which side to be on as like Gio said, it's going to be in the round, but you should check the seating diagram for the show you want to see--for some shows the stage appears closer to one end of the field than the other.

Finally, don't forget that even if all else fails, there's a lot of time between now and the shows and people sometimes find they can't go and resell tickets--some will do it at face value. Good luck!

Got a code from a Bucs season ticket holder last night. Got fairly decent seats on, well...hmmm....what would be Sting side. Similar to the position of the tickets we had at MSG.

There were already TONS of aftermarket tickets available, but I didn't want to pay above face if I could avoid it. We are going to try again today with fan club to see about an upgrade, but Mr. Chatchka is happy with what we got, so I don't know how hotly he'll pursue that.

Thanks All!

I just checked and if you buy a fan club membership along with, you can get GA (for only $55!) if you are into to that sort of thing.

I can only say: I wish the Police had done it this way.
I would have saved a lot of money.

The thing with GA is that it's standing room...and that means that if you aren't there early...your ass is behind some Goliath on the floor. I'm a short girl...if I can't be up front or close to the front, I might as well shell out for reserved. Which is what I did.

I think the fan club no longer exists. It went away and they opened up the $50 option to join as a member on the online site.

Anyway...I hope that helps. And I hope you get seats. I'm going to see them in Chicago in September.

I'm with you 100%
The civilized way to do it is the auction.
Don't have to elbow your way to a spot repeatedly.

But it can be pricey.

I'm not going apeshit over this tour the way I did over the Police, but I'm going to take in a few different vantage points. The Edge is a singular voice in guitar playing, even if he did crib his best idea from Andy.

I'd bet on a great show. But with the obfuscation and sheer frustration surrounding what should be simple concert ticket purchases these days, I'm glad I saw them back when it only cost $50 a head!

Yeah, I'd like to see 'em too. But not willing to shell out for scalpers or go to a lot of trouble to get a decent ticket without paying a fortune.

OT: Just read a thread on Flyertalk.com in which a guy describes sighting Bono on a Southwest Airlines flight lately. Apparently he still continues his tradition of being way cool to fans, which some friends of mine saw firsthand back in 1987....

Good luck. I'm boycotting TicketRacket and LiveNation on this one. I'll wait for the dvd.

Besides, I saw them at Giants' Stadium on the PopMart tour and it was just way too big. I couldn't see a thing except the screens. I think I'm done with stadium gigs.

The Rose Bowl is NOT sold out. :o
Right now there are doubles and singles at face value.

I grabbed a single, 19-L Row 33.
Still, almost 300 bucks but I caved, I gotta see 'em one more time!
Have we got touchdown
