OT: IRON MAIDEN mania in PERU, hot place in S. America!

Since, former Pink Floyd Roger Waters came to Peru at the end of 2006, every big names of the mainstrema spectacle of Rock n'roll makes Lima-Peru like a hot place by his hot audience and cultural plus touristical background... Personally when "The Police" announced his reunnion tour I fought for success it, but it never happened... I promised my country like one of the hottest places for making concerts and the result is amazing... When the taxes of spectacles reduced to 0 and since 2008 came names like REM, Travis, Toto, Soul Assylum, Kyloe Minogue, Backstreet Boys, Duran Duran, Megadeth, James Blunt, Boy George and last weeks Peter Gabriel, B'52 and Iron Maiden with the confirmation of Oasis and Kiss for April, and the announce of AC/DC for august and Metallica in 2010...

What makes Peru like a great place for rockers who wants to return? Definetely peruvian reaction, fun, gastronomy, economic stabilty and unique plus spectacular South American culture in one place...

What happened with Iron Maiden in Lima? a mania for filling the stadium from fans that came since every corner of Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia... the media coverage was really huge, in every newspaper, giant banner and Tv Iron Maiden and metal invades Lima and entire of Peru... The result one of the hottest concerts the band made in South America and the promise for a return... Iron Maiden booked a tour to Machu Picchu in Cusco Peru and lot of "Pisco" ( national peruvian liquor made from 100% grapes) and " Pisco Sour" (national cocktail made from that liquor) for the backstage...

Besides, Peter gabriel confirmed he was in Peru (Lima and Cusco) in 1988, the same year Amnesty International organized that Festival also in South America.... Gossips in Lima told that Peter Gabriel and Sting visited Peru in secret... Gabriel's response confirmed me when I was a teen saw some similar to STING walking alone with a long blond hair in the main avenue of Miraflores in Lima Peru :roll:

So, Sting, Stewart and Andy come to Peru for making a concert that you never imagine in warm and emthusiasm :wink:
