Prince on Jay Leno

Prince on Jay Leno

What if Jimi Hendrix could sing, play piano, and write fantastic songs?
He'd be Prince.
He's on Leno this week.
Kicking much booty.

Wednesday night:

FF to about 7 min before the end.

Thursday Night:

Same deal. This performance is fantastic.

Remember those debates back in the 80's?
The ones that went: who's better? Prince or Michael Jackson?

Is there any doubt now?
At all?

I will confess to always preferring Prince over Michael Jackson.

I once read an article about Prince that claimed that he could pick up almost any instrument and become a virtuoso in a short time. The only reason he ever needed a band was for live performance. I don't doubt it.

ETA: Both Prince and Michael Jackson are absolutely nuts. Talented, but nuts.

He's one of the remaining artists on my short list to see before I die. Still remembering the '08 halftime show at which he chewed gum and kicked ass (and ran out of gum).

I respect Prince as a musician. He's a terrific talent. That said, I've chosen to boycott anything of his. The last few years, he's been using his podium to convince people that his fruity little cult is ok. Who knows how many people have looked into it because of him. A true doesn't try to convert, kinda like Stewart.

Sorry to be so morose, but I did say he was a great talent at least, haha.

Prince is a nut.
But he is a fucking talented nut.
If I had half the talent in my whole body that he has in 1 hand I would be forever happy with myself musically. (Thats so cliche and I love it)
