OT: order Nutters For Life t-shirts // Register for walk

Postby luddite lady on 23 Mar 2009 04:27

Gong knows how I figured this out! Here's the link to the Nutters for Life team page with donor names and all.

Tamadude, to donate to a specific team you have to click next to the "no team" thingie. All the teams then appear but they aren't in alphabetical order so you have to wade through them a bit. Nutters for Life is there though.

Yeah LL! I was just going to post that link. This site sucks compared to last year. We each had our own pages, in addition to the team page, to track our contributions. We're a third of the way towards our goal. But, we don't have to stop there! I know the economy sucks. So, give what you can folks. Every bit helps to spread education and give support to people with melanoma.

They'll take checks, too.
They can be mailed to:

Melanoma International Foundation
250 Mapleflower Rd, Glenmoore, Pa 19343

Make sure you make them for team: Nutters For Life

Thanks so much guys.

Damn. I can't get it to cooperate. When I click on LL's link up there I get to the Nutters for Life page, and it shows who's donated...but when I click 'Donate Now' I simply get the generic, not-event-specific donation page for MIF. I want to make darn sure the $$ goes to Nutters for Life (NFL!)

I'll keep trying. Otherwise wonder if the cash will get there if I simply put 'in memory of Leroy Coolbreeze'?

ETA: EUREKA! Figured it out. I have to (get this) NOT log in if I want to get the pulldown menu featuring NFL. Otherwise I get a donation page that looks identical, only there's no pulldown menu - even if I click through from the event page for the Villanova fundraising walk.

 You know, charities would do better with a simple frames-based webpage than hiring somebody who doesn't know what they're doing to set up a PHP system. Better to have something that looks a little less flashy but works properly...not that this is a pet peeve of mine from working with nonprofits for years. Sigh.

Got my shirt and some other goodies. I gotta step up my pimping, though

We're getting lots of moral support and Nutter love.

Just a little over one week left to go!

I got my shirt and hat yesterday. They look great Amy! I'm surprised how quickly they arrived! It looks like customs trusted their sniffer dogs' instincts this time.

I'll be with you in spirit and wardrobe next week. Go team!
