OT: Ever have one of those days?

So, it's the age of music downloads and I haven't seen my CD collection in a while. I've been wondering where some of my music is because I located a box of discs, but they were all the "crappy" ones. Where is my golden collection? First things first... I accuse my husband, because it's always him who puts my stuff away in some nook and doesn't tell me and then forgets where he put it. He swears that he doesn't know where it is.

I was up in my attic looking for some old photographs a week or so ago and stumbled on a box filled with CD's - my good ones!!! My treasure! Yay! I grab a few and bring them to work to load on my itunes, open the first case (Clash B-sides and rarities)... the fucking disc isn't in there. Cold sweat. Anger. Fear. Blurry Vision. Tremors. I think, "who the hell stole my disc"! I never have discs in the wrong cases or anything like that. I open the next case... no fucking disc. Every one is like that. Deeeeeeep Breath. Think. I can't think of anything. No idea what is going on here.

My husband suggests that I made a book of CD's to carry around with me. I spent a few years partying my ass off and think that this is totally possible, and the more I think about it, the more it sounds right, but damn if I can remember!

We're talking about approx. 100 of my favorite albums here.... gone.

My worst fear is that I took them to some party and forgot them.

(And Grace - feel your pain too. My rather - erm - nah, lets tell it like it is - racist grandma, ditched all my moms 78rpm blues and early r'n'r records when mom escaped to college.)
