What's there not to like about "A Kind of Loving" the way it was recorded?

The screaming lacks any musical validity first and foremost for me. It's not rhythmically arranged or particularly melodic. This is coming from somebody with a sincere appreciation for noise as sonic art. I like stuff that would make most people's toes curl, but it just doesn't work here IMO.
It's also a female lead vocal from somebody who obviously isn't in the Police, so it's harder to work into a live format. As for Sting's dialogue, well, imagine him delivering "Shut up, you b****, shut up!!" to a huge audience.
I just don't think so...
Finally, the context of what the vocals depict, ie rape, is unpleasant at best. Maybe the intent is darkly comical, but that's a tough subject to make funny.
The instrumentation is excellent and i would love to hear it shine by itself if they choose to play it. It does have a decent amount of exposure due to its place on the box set, but i still think the song is unlikely to get any attention. A better pick from that album would be "Spread A Little Happiness!"
What's the use of worrying
And feeling blue
When days are long
Keep on smiling thru
Spread a little happiness
Til dreams come true
Words to live by!
