Lot's of upset fans over at thepolicetour.com

I think everone's biggest concern was the fact that the presale seats just plain suck.

Someone made a good point on one thread over at tpt.com about Pearl Jam having a great fanclub presale ( www.pearljam.com/tenclub/tickets.php )where all the best seats are on the floor and sides near the stage and they are given out seniority first on down. Also, their fanclub is only $20 a year, so even the poorest of us can afford that and still get great seats. I think it is something their management could have looked into before starting all this.

I do think that if you pay $100 for a fanclub you should be guaranteed some good seats. Even if they only reserve one side of the floor and one side of the next level for us.

I think you make good points, bella, but one thing I read was that - since U2 and Pearl Jam only charge $20 for their fan clubs - all the scalpers simply join and scoff up all the good tickets that way. $20 is nothing to them.

I thought people were saying they got good seats in Montreal...or is it your understanding that *everyone* from TPT.com got the shaft?

I haven't been back since early this morning, but yesterday it seemed as though everyone was in an uproar about paying $100 for the fanclub in relation to the crappy seats they ended up with.

Pearl Jam's club is the best example. Them and Tom Petty.

The board is a mess and everyone is obsessed with this issue, which I can somehow see why, but there isn't one decent conversation over there.

Ditto... instead I write articles. Haha.

Some people did get decent seats at the Canada shows. I specifically asked about it and got a number of responses. This gives me hope for the smaller shows in the US. We're trying for Vegas, Denver, and NOLA.

As much as I'd wanna support the band by joining the official site- this whole thing is the reason why I won't. Too many people bitching about something they should be grateful for. Half of which probably aren't the true hardcore fans like we are. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think The Police would regroup and tour (happily I might add). That's why I joined this place almost 2 years ago- I'm a huge Stewart fan because I'm a drummer, and he's my idol. I simply love the music the three of them created together, and always wished I could've seen them live just once. Being a part of this particular group keeps that dream alive and I was happy to have found others that felt the same as I did.
Now that I have that chance to actually see them, who cares how far away your seat is? Be glad that they're actually back together and doing a massive tour for the fans. I agree that there should be perks for paying for a fan membership, and there are- presale access to THE BIGGEST COMEBACK CONCERT TOUR IN THE WORLD. :) A guarantee to see them live! Something 2months ago I don't think any of us could've predicted.

BTW this wasn't meant in anyway to offend anyone here- just my thoughts on the subject. I knew there'd be a ridiculous frenzy following the announcement and these and other boards' traffic would skyrocket. I've kept my distance.

Oh I also wanted to add that I happen to be a Best Buy rewards member! We joined to save money on our TV last year- that stupid thing turned out to be useful after all!

So far nothing new on it. I know the Italian Team here would like to keep things official and I'm down with that. So I won't post if I find out any news, but feel free to email me!

I hope they play the Houston area- Thankfully Dallas isn't too far, but I'd love to see them here too!

Yeah. There's simply too much of an entitlement attitude over there for me. But as several folks here and at AUI have pointed out, eventually some of the sturm und drang may die down, especially after the guys play a few dates and people realize it's not now-or-never to get tickets.
