I'd just like to add that every SC snare is hand signed by the Man. So not only do you get a quality snare drum, you also get an authentic STEWART autograph to go with it!

Good luck to whomever's bidding on it.

Wookie, I don't think this is true. You get his signature with each complete signature kit but not if you just buy the snare.
You sure? What does your badge on the inside say? My buddy bought one by itself and his is signed. I thought Amy's was, too. :?
I don't wanna work, I just wanna bang on the drums all day.

Yeah, mine is signed. And, it's not a rubber stamp. I compared it with one I saw on Ebay and they were different.

The other day I saw another. It started at $400-ish(!). A day later, it was $325 or somewhere around there.

And get this - the guy selling it claims that they're not making them anymore!!!

Is this true?

I don't believe this to be true.

Everyone I've asked have heard nothing of a discontinuation.

It's listed in the new 2009 catalog, ( http://www.tama.com/support/catalogs.aspx ) and it's one of Tama's best snares, so I can't see them halting production.

I think this seller might be trying to boost his selling potential.

Caveat emptor.
