Postby irishrose1969 on 17 Nov 2008 05:00

I have found most of the people on this list over there already...thanks so much for adding me to your friends list. Ana, Susan, Conroy, Maria, Masayo, Dive, Larissa. Very appreciated.

I have a few more folks I need to find yet, but working on it. You will know when I find you.

Facebook is the BEST - I get to talk to all my relatives around the country that I see about every 10 years. My brother and sister and I talk and visit several times a day, just as if we were next door neighbors, even though we are in Cali, Iowa, and Minnesota. I don't remember whether you have monikers on Facebook, like you do on MySpace. All I know is I'm Barbara Murphy in Brea, Ca. Friend on if you'd like; all my many, many, many Irish relatives would be delighted to meet you.

I don't know, Ramuthra - it may have started out that way, but I have aunts and uncles on there, and I'm old enough, plus some, to be your mom. That's part of the fun of it. I'll welcome anyone who wants to look me up - ready the walls!

It's funny, but this post is very timely for me. I joined last week and still can't get over how many high school friends are already on facebook. I have chatted with people I haven't seen in 18 years! I too thought this was for teens, but a lot of mid-thirties types like me are on there.

I am there, discovered that it's excellent to connect with friends and family with short attention span.

I'm in there (infrequently). You'll find me through Plempty or Dive, etc. Watch out for a big afro. =o)

I'm there. It's cool. A high school friend I haven't heard from in 20 years found me! That alone was worth the price of admission.....wait, it's free.
