I'll try to take a picture of my closet. It's quite a sight.

Anyone a size 9.5 or 10?

I bought a pair of the koolest green Madden boots, but they are just too tight on my calves. I was going to list them, but I should offer them up here first, since they are Kenttastic.

I know a good opportunity when I see one. When I was pregnant with my last ('91), there was a shop - that folded - where I got my favorite of ALL footwear EVER. They were snakeskin, just under the calf, boots that looked like wrestling boots. They were SO incredible. I bought them in off-yellow (I think, unfortunately, that they were "skin tone"), red, and black. I walked 7 miles a day when I was pregnant and they held up - and I NEVER had to resort to big-bows, huge Peter Pan collars - there was NO SUCH THING as remotely normal maternity clothes back then.

But I digress - as I often do - does anyone know how to find anything like that? I don't really care about the snake skin - it's the wrestling boot thing I loved.

NO -DAMMIT - it's BOXING shoes - boots; whatever. I salivate over my son's poster of Ali standing over Sonny Liston. But I don't want REAL boxing footwear - well, sheeit - maybe Ali's daughter has a shoe line. I'm gonna check; but if you have any suggestions, let me know.

The Converse sneaker brand is planning a new line of products for the fall that will feature Metallica and AC/DC shoes, according to the New York Post. The music-related shoes will follow on the heels of the company's initial success with a shoe that featured the British Union Jack flag and was linked to the Who. An Ozzy Osbourne shoe has been released as well, with a Pink Floyd model due out in March. Converse marketing chief Geoff Cottrill told the Post, "We're planning another line of sneakers that will feature Metallica and AC/DC that will be available in the fall. We're always looking to do more collaborations with bands and this one should be just as creative as the previous ones."

The Who shoes, which became available only through the Converse website last month, have already outsold the company's previous best-seller, the basic black Chuck Taylor.

The Pink Floyd shoes feature artwork from their classic albums Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here.

Converse has been around since 1917 and the Chuck Taylor line is one of the oldest athletic shoe brands in the world. The company was purchased six years ago by Nike for $305 million plus debt, with its revenues on the rise for the past two years.

I don't like to wear shoes - I just like to line them up and look at them. I have an absolute obssession with shoes - boots even more - I just can't stand to wear them. Makes no sense, but at least it's not pants we're talking about.

Hell, I've already got a house full of AC/DC gear...went a little overboard a couple months back  What's one more pair of shoes.

I hear you, MQ. I have some jewelry I don't wear because I sorta love it too much. Does that make any sense? I guess I'm afraid I'll lose it or spoil it somehow.

hell, no - that makes even MORE sense. The only jewelry I ever wear is rings. Bracelets get in the way and you can't see your earrings or necklaces unless you live in front of a mirror. Yes, jewelry is another thing I prefer to just line up and look at. But I can't afford the jewelry I like to look at, so I just peruse the catalogues. My mom said when I was little and got a pair of new shoes, I would walk up and down the hallway for hours, just looking at my shoes.
