The kit is Nuts. The toms are the Hyperdrive Toms or Short Stack I bought the kit about a year and a half ago.... Funny thing though The guy who I bouth the Octobans from lived off a street called Regatta Dr. go figure :wink:

Well, here they are. I got my Tama Rockstars from a former bandmate of a co-worker. They've got custom designs on them :oops:

that will be peeled off when I get a chance to do so. But, I like 'em. They're loud and I like to hit them. I'm working on my rudis but I'm learning grooves and fills and having fun.

There is a kit up the street from me in a sad litttle pawn shop that I so want to rescue its a rockstar going for 250. Hmmm. It needs alot of TLC and very overpriced IMO.

I hope Bozzio pays his drum tech well. Imagine how many weeks go into bumping that behemoth in and out just for one show.

I've only ever seen a 3 minute solo with Bozzio on the kit, and I must say, I was pretty bored by it. There seemed to be very little passion or expression in what he was doing. It sounded like an exercise being spread over the kit, drum at a time. I'm sure he's capable of better, especially with so many options on what to strike next.

...been meaning to take some photos for a while now... I've had this kit now since 1996... essentially the same as Stewart's chariot (Starclassic Select Maple shells 22" kick, 10" 12" toms, 16" floor) except his is blue sparkle and mine's cherry black/dark greyish lacquer (my full kit also includes a 14" tom and 18" floor tom that I use occasionally in different configurations depending on the style of music/gig etc)... normally use the 5 1/2 x 14" Maple snare (only pull out the Stewart snare and ride on special occasions)... pretty much a Zildjian guy myself... also my percussion in the background... congas, bongos, been spending ALOT of time recently brushing up on my timbales... VERY into incorporating Latin/Cuban (as well as Brazilian) rhythms into my drumset playing, hence the jamblock and cowbells (including the one rigged up to the kick pedal to the left of the hihat for left-foot cowbell/left-foot clave stuff). Also been spending ALOT of time lately on the Chaffee Rhythm & Meter Patterns Polyrhythms and Magadini Polyrhythms books mainly because I've been also spending ALOT of time lately checking out Zappa.

WOW. Laz your drum room is quite impressive. Lotsa percussion instruments in there.

My kit feels naked without a cowbell now. How many cowbells do you have? One of every size? That footpedal-cowbell setup is a really great idea.

I'm off to get a cowbell now....... :lol:
