slaps, Your link led me to some green croc docs -- wow, so cool!

Rancid, Obviously Bry meant that those shoes make you a 12 on a scale of 10 when he said they were the "yes I'm 12 shoes."

Aaaah ... aaaah ... aaah ... hyperventilating here ... I know I'm not the only Anglophile, not the only Who fan ... check out these Who-inspired Chucks:

http://www.converse.com/index.aspx

I'm so pathetic, I just spontaneously bought the union jack ones, and the other two are looking mighty tempting! Who-inspired Chucks, OM NOM NOM NOM

Oooh those are fun. So tempting. I have really been avoiding "unnecesssary" shopping after just buying a short down coat from Eddie Bauer.

(Note to Betsy: it says dry clean but it's also machine washable and I do have the large commercial machines nearby. I got it in black with the fake fur trim on the hood).

This is the most recent pair I've bought:

Got them on ebay for half price! So comfy. Nice for work.

Smax, you'd better move house; never get between a woman and her shoes!

I like those kicks you're getting -- the lining is really cool! Thanks for playing shoe fetish with us :D .

Thanks Susan... I'll re-read the tag  The coat needs a good washing, but I wasn't willing to part with it long enough to get it dry cleaned.

I've seen Sofft shoes and wondered if they were worth the price tag. I guess you think so?

Betsy, I also got these from Sofft, again, finding them on ebay made them much more affordable. I don't know how people get brand new shoes but there are enough of them on sale that they can't all be falling off trucks:

IMHO they're worth it. I can last much longer in a high heel that has more of a padding or almost a platform in the front. If you keep an eye open you can catch some good deals on Sofft shoes or boots.

I'm in love with these (they just look so comfy and sylish), but the calf circ. is too fucking small for my tree trunk sized legs.

Shannon -- thanks for trying to boost the old self-esteem, but no, he really meant that they are shoes for a twelve-year-old.

PRule -- I am so there with you on the big freakin' calves. This is one of the few reasons that I like living in Florida. I rarely have the occasion to wear boots. I spend most of my time looking at sandals.

Divemistress -- I wear an 8.5. We need to talk!

Christ. I'm not sure I've got a wide enough angle lens, to capture ALL my shoes...(plus the warm weather ones are in storage)

Lynne, we're gonna be shoe twins. Must. Have. Also, I've got a sweater pattern for you...it's a Union Jack from the last Stitch 'n Bitch book, which I can send on Ravelry, but of course can't post here (since folks without accounts can't view Ravelry links, which kinda sucks. it's a great website, even for non-knitters.)

(I actually really thought about it. But it's mohair, which = itchy)
