I was just wondering why the tour comes to Europe for September to October and then back to US for the run upto Xmas? Logistically it seems a little backward.. so why do it?

Traditionally the Police were always top of the album charts in October when they released an new album..

Is a new CD / Box Set due to be released October and the guys are going back to the biggest market to plug it for the Xmas market?

And what was with that ' we are playing some songs we have never played before' comment from Sting?

Album tracks? B- Sides ? or genuinely new songs?

Maybe they're going to take a brake, and go home for a bit, and since they'll be there anyways figure why not do a show or two? I don't know.

Sting always plays NY twice per tour. I'm assuming that is what's going to happen this time as well.

Well, their tour schedule is pretty action packed for the summer. Maybe they're coming back later because they want to hit Europe before winter?

I dunno, what are winters like in Europe? I know the northern countries get nailed pretty good, not sure about mid-south Europe.

Usually winters in Europe are moderately cold,but it depends from the country you live in.
