Nah... we went out unexpectedly last night and got pretty annihilated. We are in recovery today. Few parties going on tomorrow that we may go to.

You?

Come on, shoe mavens!!!! Help a sistah out!!

Yaayy! The shoe thread is back!

Chatchka, I like the Midory style best.

Just received my Holiday party dress: http://www.igigi.com/shop/index.cfm/fus ... uct_id/621

Now I need shoes! Yeah, I have at least three pair already that would be great, but does anyone have any suggestions? You can never have too many shoes.

Heather,

SMOKIN HOT DRESS. I found a pair of shoes, for which I need to now purchase a dress, that are kind of a pale tan/pewter strappy color, but are entirely covered with clear crystals -- so they look as though you are only wearing jewlery (like a diamond tennis bracelet) that would look cool with your dress. I got them at DSW for about $70! DSW always has a great selection, year round, of dressy shoes, but this is the time of year when they bring out more. I like the idea of ones like mine with your dress color, but worry that they might snag the hem. You'd have to check. Otherwise the color the model is wearing look really nice too.

I'd definitely make sure that you don't get something that cuts across the front of your ankle because the dress has that bold horizontal accent at the waist. Something that is strappy, dips down in front and is a light color would be dynamite. Perhaps even metallic silver or gold according to your jewelry choice.

And Essie has a nail polish color that is dark charcoal grey with Teeny tiny, subtle, silver metallic sparkles in it that I wore last year with a red dress -- it was a nice change from the predictable french manicure. Sounds awful, but looks great! I think the name was Pewter. I'll look next time I go for a pedi.

ETA: These are the ones that I bought, in the silver color. Just need a dress now. If I can't find a dress, well, let's just say I'm still wearing the shoes, dammit.

Hey!! I didn't know DSW had an online presence now. I've found a lot of good stuff at Piperlime lately, although mostly I've been looking at winter boots.......

Yay... Shoes!

Love the one's your friend found, Chatch. If my feet could wear that shit anymore, I'd be all over those in purple.

I was into purple last season and it's still hot this season, not that color trends matter to moi. I love purple and got all giggly when more stuff started coming out... just like the wave of green this past spring.

These are seriously worth some pain:

http://www.stevemadden.com/item.aspx?id=47075

Actually... they look like they are MADE for pain. Perfect.

I can't stand brass buckles though. WTF is the matter with people? They can't put a better buckle on those mothers?

Edit:

PS.. why doesn't money just fall from the sky?

Are you trying to kill me or get me fired?  Both would probably happen if I wore those to my Holiday party for the police department!

Next!

(Think feminine and demure, ladies!)

ETA: I'm considering these in silver: http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/pr ... 116&brand=
