Random Things I Learned on the Road:

- Forget about "blending in." Nutters don't blend, and forcing yourself to go against your DNA will cause you to miss out on some of life's most outrageously memorable moments. Revel in the absurd...that's where the awesome is!

Final one:

Seek advice from the SuperCat before taking to the road, for she is wise in the ways of wheeled transport :-)

Fabulous thread Gina. Thank you!

HAH, alll...I'm loving all the contributions!!! Miss you dearly!!!

As you can tell, I only rip off from the best <grin>

And my fave HST quote: Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride <grin> That just about summarizes it :)

Thanks all for the kind words, I sometimes just spontaneously combust into random thoughts when the mood strikes me (and when I can't take my dissertation anymore)

PapaCat has set up a web domain for such instances: GinaSuperCat.net HAH He made it so I could write all my music/concert blatherings without clogging up scnet all the damn time <giggle> I haven't put anything on there yet...

Love the list SuperCat and everyone else's too.

Something I've learned - if a concert looks like it might be kind of fun buy a ticket and go!

How could I have forgotten, in my original post, that on the road I learned:

Nancy Rose is hardcore!

Betsy is a Classic Bitch!

and the Rolling Stones song "Shattered" follows you wherever you go, when in said condition <grin>

"Go 'head...bite the Big Apple! Don't mind the maggots. Uh Huh!"

HA HA! Just heard this on the radio today, Gina, and it put a big smile on my face!

I don't think there's a theme song for "broken," at least not one that I've thought of yet!

This just occured to me...apologies if this is derivative.

Green goes with everything. And is perfect for every occasion.

(Think of this as an extension of Green is the new Black)

This is a great thread. Thanks to all for posting.

My observations:

1. It's ALWAYS worth it to buy as close to the stage as fiscally possible.

2. Keep BOTH hands on the wheel when driving 140mph across the Arizona desert.

3. Nutters are cool wherever you meet them.

4. Be wary of dining establishments that have "minimums" and "start times".

5. When possible, upgrade to the roomier rental car. You never know when you'll need the extra space.

6. Always make, assemble, print, order and buy "extra's".

7. It's okay to leave the $3 icechest in the venue parking lot.

8. More ice is always a good thing.

9. More tequilla is always a good thing.

10. When traveling from Midtown to Harlem, the subway is infinitely faster and cheaper than a taxi.

11. Never underestimate the power of another Nutter to make incredible things happen.

12. Say hello to as many Nutters as possible.

13. Planes, trains or subways, New Yorks public transportation system is amazing.

14. Know where the auxiliary input jack is on your rental car.

15. No matter how tired you are, plug in the cellphone before crashing.

16. Scope out the late-night establishments BEFORE the show.

17. Don't forget to launch your CHA! ball during CSLY (or you WILL face the consequences)

18. Don't let the Green Menace touch your face, lest you die of infection.

Haha. And more broadly, it's okay to leave the $3 anything just about anywhere.

Love the list, Charlie.
