Have kids who are f'ing pissed that their college fund is tapped (due to some old 80's band reunion tour) but are really happy that same band broke up again!
I'm a college kid! I'm not complaining!

In "flagging" an e-mail for follow-up you choose to code it not with the default red, but with a green flag. So every time you look at your e-mails you see a little green flag. :)

Saw a krypton green tee in Old Navy today and almost bought it. Then remembered 1) I already have green tees and b) it's the end of the summer.

I was with my 4 yr old driving around the other day. I was channel surfing. She said "I want to hear a STEWART song mommy".

I keep my car speakers tuned to the front of the car, as to not blast my kids ears out. When I am alone in the car...its LOUD!!

Your daughter refers to Murder by Numbers as the A-B-C, 1-2-3 song.

Your daughter yells "Yummy!" whenever she sees a picture of Stewart Copeland. (I swear I did not teach her that -- he simply has multi-generational appeal -- and she is naturally intelligent, of course.)

Your daughter is quick to point out anything she sees that is green because "that is Momma's favorite color."

It is the accidental infection of close family and friends that I find simultaneously lovely and a wee bit scary. I don't have impressionable kids of my own, but my Wagner loving, pop/rock loathing, never-been-a-teenager, 69 year old father scoured flickr for MSG crowd shots, and thinks drum lessons are a great idea (mercifully for me, not him - yet). Mr Copeland appears to have inadvertently mildly sprained my dad. Stewart - I'd like the difficult, 'you don't understand anything that's important to me!', total incomprehension of musical enthusiasms, father-daughter relationship back please. To that end can you do something atonal and sweary? Thanks.

I'll second Smudge'e request. It is that strained lack of understanding that keeps me feeling youthful and rebellious -- it's better than botox!

Wow, so much info here. Too much to comment on, but I identify with a lot. I'll just confine myself to saying that my real name is part of the word "Orangina".
