Dreams sometimes come true

Hello Stewart and everyone !!!

Since the confirmation of The Police reunion for the Grammys at the end of January, I'm in shock !!! I have search the internet looking for new informations, rumours whatever I can find... I realized that the best place to look at is at this site, directly to the origins of The greatest band in the music history...

I'd like to share with you my first contact with The Police, It was in 1981, I was beginning high school, at lunch time police songs invaded school... The Police was Huge in Canada at the time and I first bought Regatta de Blanc and then Ghost in the Machine came out just for Christmas... I was hooked !!! The next summer, The Police toured and came to Montreal. My parent would not let me go because of the annual summer vacation in the US occured at the same time !!!

Then in spring/summer of 1983, Synchronicity was released and toured ... Once again the "|/%!"% summer vacations occured and I missed the concert !!!

Then I was given the promise that whatever happens in the life of the family, I would be authorised to attend any Police concert I wished... That never happened untill ... maybe... 2007 !!! 24 years later !

Amazing :D

Over the years, my interest for this band never stopped, I proudly own a nice collection of Police and related records both 7", 12" and one or two 10" (my best one the 10" Klark Kent with the "K" shaped sleeve !!!), posters, books, videos and other collectibles.

By the way, Everyone stares, the police inside out is simply perfect, I've alway wondered looked like what stewart was filming !!!

Hope all this is not only a cloud but even if it is, I will have lived my teenage again !!!

Yves :!:

Ça va Yves! Je suis a fan du Pèrou!

First of all, I say your thread shocked me, cause the title is like you be the winner of the contest...a little healthy envy and an stomach vacuum invades my organism...

Nice to read your story... as you see I am a POLICE fan from far away common international show business schedules or tour lists so you imagine I never saw THE POLICE and I am die to see them on stage... that's funny isn't it?

All the best wishes your dreams come true this year... I hope it to me too, more hard and difficult than you but with high expectations to be happened!!

Regards from Lima - Peru - South America,

JOSE

OK, that line was *hilarious*. You guys kill me.

Jose, I have the feeling you're going to get to see the band. I guess I'm just a believer in karma (sorry that I don't know how to say that in Spanish...Creo en karma, perhaps? ;))

SEEING THE POLICE LIVE AGAIN COULD NOT BE ANY KIND OF KARMA BUT MORE A DARMA!! karma is negative... darma is possitive!!

For me it will be reliving my teenage years, I was lucky enough to se them in concert twice!...

I saw Sting live in Madrid with the tour derams o f the blue turtles, but it was never the same!!

For those who never saw the POLICE on stage... YOU WILL FREAK OUT!

As someone put it so hilariously lately: "This is the Police, they will $%^& your mind off!"

God, I died! I don't know why I thought that was so funny. I've looked for the original post but can't find it, darnit...
