Who has an addiction?

Is it just me or does anybody else feel the same way?

I am logging on 2 -3 times a day, to get another fix.

There is so much activity it is making my head spin.

My heart is beating so fast everytime everytime I see new posts.

Something that seemed impossible is now looking like a reality.

I'll stop my inane ramblings now.
A mind full of useless information.
Quotes are my speciality.

2-3 times is rather restrained imo :) I have been a dedicated lurker for a while but the last week or so I have registered and now even posted! Great to meet you all and, besides, mania is best shared in good company.

I think we are all excited. This event is what Police fans have been wishing for. I browse the boards and sites any chance I get for any updates and news.

Well, I Thought I was feeling childish when I couldn't sleep the first night after the news was "official". I said to myself that I am almost 40 and teenage time is far behind, but my heart kept reminding me that THE DREAM could become reality, and all those plans in my head (taking a 6 month workbreak and follow the guys everywhere, even if I have to borrow money for that) kept coming and coming. Then, a couple of days later the tour was not so "official" anymore and as strange as it sounds I was reliefed. Try to understand! For the past 20 years, I was hoping to see those three together again, I bought almost every record the guys made, on those records I imagined how the songs would sound if they were performed by the Police and not some musicians (even if some of them were ok), I hated Sting because in my eyes he was the one to blame for this long pause (but I bought every single record he made anyway), I listened to Andy's brilliant solo work with enthusiasm and feeled that this could have been Police songs (and some of them wonderful) if Mr. Sumner wasn't so selfish.
Anyway, when I thought that this reunion tour was just an invention from some journalist (and I think that way today), I got back to the territory I know well (I will never see the Police live). Because this incredible emotion of this dream coming true (and believe me: I have no other dream I would like to see realized) is difficult to control and it hurts when someone plays yo-yo with it. Is there going to be a tour yes or no?!? Until I see on TV, Sting saying it will, I'll consider they're just going to do the grammys and finish...

I think it's pretty reasonable that we're all so excited these days.

After all, this is something most of us never believed could ever happen, right? So it's a dream come true for so many fans. And as Kim mentioned, we're seeing everything right from the start instead of after the fact.

I'm sure I'm driving some family members mad but hey, we all have our passions. :) Some folks go mad over sports games, paying thousands of dollars to go to big games or whatever...we just like our music instead.

Me, I officially opened up my tour & travel fund for the year. Now it's take to start saving the cash!

I dunno. I know it sounds insane, but I still do have fairly mixed feelings. Of course I'd like to see the Police, but this also means no new Oysterhead or Gizmo stuff for a while, and no new 80s-footage movie, and (worst of all) no blog entries in Dinner Tales for a while.

I guess I should remain positive and wait to see what develops out of this new collaboration with Andy and Sting, because it may just be a whole different animal this time around. And as someone else here pointed out, it may bring a whole new light onto whatever solo projects the individual members do as well.

The idea of a reunion is a dream come true for me. On days when I think something might happen, or if it seems a lot of new info is popping up, I've been on 10 or more times in a day.

Monday can't get here fast enough, at least then we will KNOW what's going on.

Animal, you are in good company. What's so wrong with a healthy addiction anyway? Since I first heard about the original Billboard article on Sirius radio I've done nothing but search everwhere possible for that next tidbit of information. Multiple times a day in fact.

I've always wondered if a reformation of the Police would excite me like it would have back in the day...It doesn't. It exceeds it.

The best part is that I get to not only relive the "teenage" excitement, but can share it with others who feel the same.

Two things, on Monday we all go back to work and return to normal lives or we do begin to freak about tour dates and how are we gonna get those tickets... I'm only dreamin'

I'm quite glad to notice that I'm not the only one who can't stop thinking about all this even at night or at work !!!

Here's a hint: If you have a Macintosh computer and are running Firefox, there's an application you can get that'll make a Web page refresh automatically every three or four minutes.

Email me if you need info. Not that I'm addicted too or anything. Oh heavens, no. Who, me? ;)

Since these rumors started, I've been perusing this site more and more, and finally signed up last week. Now I'm checking it literally every hour when I'm at work, and another 2 or 3 times when I get home. Yeah, I'm addicted!

Can't wait til Monday - it'll probably be the most traffic this site has ever seen!!! I sure hope Stewart's ISP can handle it! The last thing I want to see is the dreaded "Server Is Busy" screen as I attempt to find those long-awaited tour dates! :D
