THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE EVER - MSG 7th August 2008

Postby conroy on 12 Aug 2008 00:36

Yeah, considering it's a song about suicide, it's the song that makes me feel the most alive because of it's energy. It is also a highlight for me as well and the one song that I miss the most and makes me really sad that the tour is over because live recordings cannot do justice to being there in person.

Hi The Equalizer,Dietmar,SambucaSubaru,Bella,,MFF0RD8,Policerule,Conroy,NancyRose,DirtiMartini

Wow guys really appreciate all your kind comments hopefully I relayed what a fabulous time I had seeing the best band in the world but also meeting you guys.Honestly the pleasure was all mine and this fabulous experience will live with me always.
Queuing early meeting everyone was all part of the incredible journey from the moment my old boy dropped me off at Manchester airport.
The Equalizer,Bongo Boy,Dietmar and the lovely Analia, guys gotta single you out, you guys were there early sharing the 'Police' experience together cause something in our heads said we just had to.
Btw Nancy Rose I wish I had used those words "out of body experience" cause thats exactly how it felt.
At the risk of repeating myself in the words of the great man Eugennio

‘We lived fantastic moments together’

Can't beat those words it says it all

Yo!

Yeah, "ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE......." is probably a better tactical decision!

Just back from holiday in Portugal ... well about 20 minutes ago and I just had to post on 'our anniversary' 'THANK YOU' again Stewart.I figure if I post it enough times he'll at least see one - well I hope so!

You know 12 months on it still brings great memories back and will forever - no one can take away from me that day.Not just the gig but the whole experience, the flight, the taxi drive('MSG whats that ?'),the queuing ,meeting other GREAT fans again and for the first time, the emotional rollercoaster of a gig and the booze up afterwards.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.I won't forget it ever.Stewart THANK YOU.

I'm a lucky guy.

Yo.

nancyrose wrote:Couldn't agree more with your description of CSLY/RDB...it has ALWAYS been a highlight of the show for me. I feel like the energy just builds up inside me 'til that exact moment you mention when it feels like your whole body just explodes with excitement! And at the same time, it's always been a shock to me to reach that part of the show so DAMN FAST...I almost feel like part of the reason I become such a whirling dervish is to hold back time moving too fast...as if I could keep the show from coming to an end!

All too true Nancy. I think that the addition of Dan's CHA! balls made it even more intense for me. Being part of the final launch at MSG is something I'll never forget. I was watching a YouTube of CSLY/RDB at MSG on 8/07 and I saw JennyM launch a Cha! ball into the crowd at exactly the right moment - it was soooo cool! Being part of the CHA! ball team during that final week in NY was definitely one of the coolest things that I did on the tour, with the only exception of being FlagBoy on Stewarts birthday. Oh, and Plutonic backdooring us into the Apollo (thank you St. Jeff).

Thank you Nancy, for your generosity. Without you and Smudge I wouldn't have been at MSG, let alone the Jones Beach shows. Your kindness was the catalyst for our trip to NYC. I'll always love you for that!

Charlie - shush. You and Darlene would have been there somehow, someway, by whatever means.

I don't think sooooooo. Kate, you and Nancy made it possible for me to say "But Honey... it's the last show and it's 10th row-center at Madison Square Garden! Can't we go...? Please please please...?

So Darlene capitulated and we came. But it never would have happened without you and Nancy. Thank you so much!!
