So...Who's going to the FIRST concert????

Hi there OG, I've already posted at length about Bonnaroo...rather than make everyone read it again, I'm posting a link to the original 'Police @ Bonnaroo' thread:

My husband, who's a great big music geek (in a good way) and reviewer in his own right, wrote an article about it here:

There are also about a squillion discussion boards over at Bonnaroo.com.

Happy reading! Email me if you have any questions. DotD

I'm at odds. If they are at Bonnaroo, I will pay for the VIP passes, but don't you have to buy those beforehand?

I don't know, I'm really nervous. I want to see them, but if they're playing elsewhere than Bonnaroo, then I might have to spend all the money for their tour, but then again, who's to say I'll be able to really see them with good seats.

This has to be perfect and though it takes the fun out of it being serious and all... this is like a big deal to me and I just want to see them so bad.

I'd like to see Stewart's face expressions. He always is so cool and laid back during the performances I've seen from the past and his interactions between he and Andy were so sublime. I loved it.

Eh, I'm so excited.

Think positive, blue. If they're going to play a few dozen dates, the odds are definitely in your favor, especially if you're willing to travel. Who knows? Maybe the guys will get along so well - and have such good luck reigniting that old creative spark - that they'll tour next summer too. In any event, you're probably amongst folks who'll be the best source for information on whatever does eventually come to pass.

You do have to buy VIP passes in advance...they'll be on sale at bonnaroo.com in the next month or so. They'll sell out justlikethat if the Police are on the bill, though. I'll try to post in enough time to let people know when the onsale is going to be.

There's a raised platform next to the main stage at 'Roo that I strongly suspect belongs to the VIP section. I'm trying to find out if that's true. If it is, it probably will be well worth buying the VIP tix.

[Edit: I found a weblog that pretty well confirms that platform is the VIP section. Here's a photo of the Black Crowes taken from it:

Thanks Hannaha, I appreciate it. I thought about staying more in the center of things, but we won't be able to take enough time off to see much. And, being theatre people, the West End theatre area is more our thing anyhow.

I rather to be in a middle or last show.

More live shows, more practice.

Practice make masters.
